United were hoping to get their 11th away win of the day but it wasn't meant to be as Leicester proved to be a worthy opponent to deny United late in the game.
I love this game because the game was opened even though United had the best opportunity to win the game early on. The issue with United sometimes is that they don't make their early dominance and advantage to count. Sometimes it comes to bite them in the end and often they get away with it.
Rashford was the culprit here for this game as he wasted too many chances and if he has taken his chances so early on, United could have moved to second position in the League at the time that match was played.
Rashford started with an easy header which he blasted higher but ultimately he was able to take advantage of the ball that came begging to him to make it 1-0. That goal happened to be his 50th United goal.
Fernandes surprisingly lost possession which gave Leicester the chance to level proceedings via Barnes. Surprisingly, his father also scored against United when he played for York City.
United should have been up again afterwards but Schmeichel expertly saved from a Rashford shot but United couldn't be denied for long when substitute, Edison Cavani slipped a pass through for Fernandes to register a goal to take United 2 goals up. That is a goal and an assist already for Fernandes in this match. He has contributed 31 goals in 28 Premier League games.
Leicester didn't give up as Vardy came up with the goals to snatch a late draw from a deflection. United would feel aggrieved to have lost 2 more points but they have themselves to blame for wasting too many chances that could have won the game.
