Everton took on Tottenham and a win would see one advance to the Quarter Finals while the other would have to come back next season.

Tottenham dominated the early exchanges and the effort paid off when a corner was delivered into the box for Sanchez to meet with a brilliant header in the 3rd minute. Great start for Tottenham.

Son had another shot easily saved in the 13th minute after a brilliant effort by Lamela to win the ball back. Everton responded with an attack too in the 19th minute won't for Lloris to brilliantly save that effort. Calvert Lewin was found in the box and he expertly hit his shot only for Lloris to push it and the post saved it. Relief for Tottenham there.

Son had another chance to put his team ahead in the 26th minute when a low drive cross found him in the box. He had a quick snap shot but Olsen saved it for a corner.

Tottenham dictated the play and controlled the game well up to this point. They produced brilliant attacking plays and Son had a shock blocked in the 31st minute. It fell to Bergwijn whose shot was saved. Son also had another deflected shot in the 33rd minute and it went for a corner. Olsen was busy on the night and doing all he can to reduce Tottenham to that one goal.

After Mina initially headed wide from a corner to keep Everton in the deficit, Calvert Lewin stepped up in the 35th minute with a half volley shot to draw his team level after a wonderful assist from Sigurdsson. It was a brilliant goal and his 18th goal of the season. The game changed from here onward.

Everton produced two goals in quick succession and in the 38th minute, Digne found Calvert Lewin who expertly produced a back flick for Richalison. He wasted no time as he brilliantly struck his shot for his 7th goal of the season. They have produced 2 goals from 4 shots on Target while Tottenham produced a goal from 6 shots.

Everton stepped up their game and added a third in the 43rd minute to the surprise of onlookers. What a remarkable turnaround from being a goal down to being 3-1 up. Hojbjerg clipped Calvert Lewin in the box and the referee gave a penalty with the help of VAR too. Sigurdsson stepped up and converted.

It was almost 4-1 in the 45th minute when Sanchez over-controlled his effort that could have made Calvert Lewin pounce but it was quickly cleared. Tottenham, however, left the first half with a glimmer of hope when Lamela reduced the deficit to one goal. Pamela was played through and he brilliantly scored with so many legs trailing him. 3-2.

The first half was entertaining and the game went from 100 to Zero for Tottenham so quickly.

The second half started and Harry Kane was introduced in the 53rd minute in place of Bergwijn. Son had a brilliant low cross in to find Kane and get him involved but the ball was blocked but Tottenham dragged themselves back into the game in the 57th minute when Sanchez struck again. A brilliant corner kick from Son was flicked on my Toby but Olsen saved it and the rebound fell to Sanchez who wasted no time to draw level, 3-3. Crazy game.

Both teams produced wonderful attacking efforts but couldn't add to their tally but Everton wasn't denied for long and in the 68th minute, Richarlison got his second goal of the night. Sigurdsson found Richarlison and his left foot shot went in with the help of the post. 4-3.

Pamela found have added his second of the night too but he blazed his rebound effort far wide and not handsome. Everton tried to take the game far away from Tottenham while Tottenham tried to draw themselves level into the game and that moment came in the 83rd minute, when substitute, Harry Kane produced the goods with a glancing header. Son was phenomenal and was at the heart of every attack with a pinpoint corner kicks too.

An initial corner kick was saved by Olsen and Lamela's rebound was blocked by Doucoure. The ball found its way to Son who crossed to the far end of the post for Harry Kane to produce his glancing header, 4-4. What a night and the 90 minutes ended 4-4.

A winner must be decided and the extra time came. It took Everton just 7 minutes in extra time to decide the winner and go ahead again in the game. It was a brilliant finish by Bernard after he was played through in the box. He allowed the ball to bounce and smashed it into the back of the net. 5-4.

Tottenham had 14 corners in this game as against Everton's 2. They both produced brilliant attacking plays the defence line for Everton stayed resolute as they saw the game out and advanced into the Quarter Finals on a crazy game night.
