How have you been today?
Well, we cannot argue much on the fact that every morning is the same. It is that time of the day when the darkness fades and the light shines through. The cool breeze soothes the skin while warming up the surroundings. Birds chirping through sing a lovely song welcoming the fragrance of the fresh leaves and flowers. But that’s where the similarity ends.
Because not all of us see the morning the same way; in fact, we don’t even see every morning the same way. Why is that? That’s because we are slaves of our emotions and circumstances. We rely on our world to tell us when it is a good time or not such a good time. As such, we have forgotten that we are creators powered by the Ultimate Creator – God, Universe, Soul, or whatever you would like to call that Ultimate Power.
So, what’s my point?
Staying Positive And Happy Goes Fu(a)rther Than You Think
The point is that we can look at each day with the same intensity and the same level of happiness and appreciation. It is not such a hard task. After all, we are the same people who have relentlessly thought of each day as “drab” and “cold” until it became so. And now you believe that each day is drab and cold without realizing that you are the ones who made it that way. And yet..
And yet, the same day can be perceived in so many different ways. Haven’t you experienced yourself being in that not-so-good-mood and yet seeing your friends filled with life and happiness? Suppose you are like most, you would have reasoned that that friend’s happiness was about the money he had or the life he enjoyed, or the great circumstances he encountered. But not once would we attribute the person’s happiness to his ability to be just – happy.
We’ve been conditioned to believe that happiness is a result and not a cause. So, happiness can only come after something happened. That is the biggest negative thought. Can you believe that? God’s gift to you can be used only when circumstances allow you to. How erroneous could we be?
Anyway, now that we know the problems let’s look at the solution.
Rampage of Appreciation
To ensure that we make the most of life, you require to do just two things.
1. Believe happiness is the cause of all good things and
2. Indulge in the “Rampage of Appreciation”
Both the points are pretty simple, but how do you do it? The first point needs your conscious effort to remind yourself that you don’t need anything to happen to be happy. Happiness is an end in itself. In fact, many doors are opened if we can stay happy. If you follow the Law of Attraction (LoA), happiness alone can align you with God and bring all you had asked for in your life. So, try it.
The other thing that you can do is to get into a rampage of appreciation. The term is something I borrowed from Esther and Jerry Hick’s books. It simply means that you start thanking God or the Universe or whatever you think is worthy of being thanked. Thank them or him or her for everything. Thank them even for those things that you take for granted, like the air you breathe, the health you have, and more. Do this continuously for at least thirty seconds, and suddenly, you will find more reasons to be thankful for. This then continues until you emerge happy about what you already have. That is when you reach the *rampage of happiness*.
Now, can you see the interrelation between my two points? If you are happy, you would be appreciative of things around you, and if you are appreciative of things around you, you would be happy. Cool, isn’t it?
So go ahead and practice the art of rampage of appreciation until it becomes a rampage of happiness. 😊
Keep Doing It
Now, in the beginning, you may find it hard to find things to be appreciative of (especially if you have always practiced unhappiness), but don’t bother. Start with what you can be thankful for and keep expanding. Trust me, you will find more and more reasons to be thankful and appreciative. And in doing so, you become a happier version of yourself and keep growing in happiness.
So, stay happy and keep riding on the rampage of appreciation. Live a life of happiness, which is your birthright. 😊
