Peace Dear Splinters,

Splinters of the magic realm came on the arena this week to challenge strategies. Sand Worm is the special card in the lineup of most splinters. Sand worm has entered the arena under a difficult ruleset and strong opposition. However, its level 6 experience has put critical damage on the enemy's monsters. I often select Sand Worm in the third or fifth position in the team when the sneak ability is activated and the mana cap high enough to execute my strategy. I rarely put Sand Worm alone on the field due to his lack of protection as well as low speed and earth point.

Daria Dragonscale and Bortus were the two summoners in the arena. As soon as the battle ruleset was displayed on the screen, I knew the elemental and the keys cards that could make a difference in this match. Spreading fury and noxious fumes called for the type of monsters that can heal or survive the compound effect of damages originated from the arena and multiple opponent's cards.

Spreading fury

Sand Worm, a neutral elemental monster with serious melee attack points. I always play with Sand Worm when the mana cap range between 30 and 99. I discovered the potential of Sand Worm very early in the game. I invested in the combination of cards so it could perform an essential role in a higher league battle.

Huge Sand Worms have always lived in the desert of Draykh-Nahka, but with the recent uncovering of the various Untamed Prophecies, they have mysteriously grown even larger. They have also become more wild and free, somehow discovering how to escape from the Sands of the Dragon Splinter. Although it has never been witnessed, biologists believe that the Worms have learned how to swim. If they have indeed learned to burrow through water like sand, the Splinterlands will suffer greatly from their proliferation. In Mount Mox battle, Sand Worms can swallow monsters of nearly any size with no need to chew. They can even snatch fliers directly from the air, extending out of the ground even higher than the arena walls.

Battle Ruleset: Spreading fury, Noxious fumes, and Mana cap 99

The time has come to present to you the lineup opposed on the battlefield. I have displayed below the details about the match where Sand Worm is playing a great role.

The lineup of the cards in the arena

Summoner: Bortus level 4 | Water elemental, All my opponent monsters had magic and melee attacks while the opposite side had reduced one magic attack.

My opponent lineup has positioned cards from the water and neutral element aligned in the following order:

The Kraken level 2 - Taunt, Demoralize

Sea monster level 5 - Ability Heal

Prismatic Energy level 4, Abilities magic, reflect

Phantom of the abyss level 1, Flying dodge

Water elemental level 3, Ability Heal

Sand Worm level 4, Ability Sneak

I wasn't concerned about my opponent's possible lineup since the noxious fumes will quickly determine which player got the right strategy on the board. The illimited mana cap in the ruleset troubles me for short time due to the appearance of very dangerous Death elemental monsters.

Here is a description of my team lineup

Dragon Dragonscale level 5, All friendly melee monsters have one additional melee attack selected to unlock the abilities of my team monsters then boost friendly monsters' melee attacks. Water elemental monsters were linked to the summoner to successfully execute my strategy.

Robo Dragon Knight level 2 - Abilities void divine shield and piercing

Sea monster level 7 - Abilities Heal, Thorns

Phantom of the abyss level 1 - Abilities Flying, Dodge

Sand Worm level 6 - Abilities Sneak, snare

Kelp Initiate level 5 - Ability Cleanse

The Kraken level 2 - Abilities Taunt Demoralize

The lineup of the two teams was interesting especially when I consider the ruleset of the battle. The match wasn't going to be too long and the outcome easily understood by both parties.

My strategies

Daria increased my monster's melee attack combined with the sneak. My combination of monsters presented all the important abilities to execute my strategy. It was a full offensive strategy where Sand Worm was supposed to hit heavily the opponent monsters. Cleansing the Robo dragon knight with Kelp Initiate was a major process in the multiple steps of my plan. Taunt ability from Kraken was diverting all enemy attacks purposely towards the back of my line. Noxious fume was surely eating away the earth point of my cards yet my strategy to cleanse the Robo Dragon helped break my opponent's defense. My opponent had an interesting lineup despite the fact that Kraken and sea monster position in the team could be better chosen.

Did my strategy work?

Yes, my strategy perfectly worked during this match. It was a relief to not face in the arena Gelatinous Cube. The first round finished without any fallen members in my team. The Kraken completed his mission in round 3 leaving the enemy line filled with holes. Sand Worm had enhanced melee attack up to eleven points and kept its post for five long rounds in the arena. success. However, it is crucial to mention that my opponent had lower levels of monsters compared to my team in the arena. This situation helped my team sized the victory.

What will I try differently next time?

If a similar ruleset in battle happens to appear one more time I will definitely include in my lineup Gelatinous cube and Sand Worm. These exciting battle rulesets highlighting the power of healing and cleansing of the monsters in the arena.

Did I like Sand Worm? why or why not

I like to play Sand Worm in all battles where the mana cap is above 30. Its statistics were enhanced during the match and the sneak ability gave a significant advantage to my team. I will keep playing with Sand Worm my favorite neutral element monster that can be selected with all types of summoners in Splinterlands.

I am thankful for the battle challenge curation team that gives us an opportunity to present our strategies around a specific monster in action on board. This team selection was determined with an offensive strategy due to the ruleset that poisoned all monsters in the arena. Thanks for reading my Battle challenge on Sand Worm.
