New volunteer recruitment campaign in the Romanian Army.
The Ministry of National Defense is starting a new mission: to recruit 10,000 volunteers in the next three years. Some will be called upon to train and work as volunteer reservists on a contract basis.
This is an additional recruitment and selection campaign for citizens who want to perform military service in reserve, as a volunteer reservist in the Romanian Army, on the remaining vacancies in 2021.
The Ministry of Defense relies not only on employed professionals, but also on volunteer reservists. More than 400 civilians who have not been trained or experienced military personnel will join the training program for volunteer reservists next week.
There are a lot of young people, men and women alike, who want to be reservist volunteers in the army. Even if it involves training periods and strict rules.
In order to attract them, the Army also pays the volunteer reservists. When they are called for training, the reservists receive the allowance of a professional soldier. For example, a soldier can get about 1,800 lei. For the rest of the period, when they stay at home and can go to work, the reservists receive 30 percent of the grade and position salary per month, which means, also for a soldier, a little over 500 lei.
Young people aged between 18 and 35 will be able to choose four-month training courses. In the end, they will receive the equivalent of three average gross salaries and will enter the operational reserve of the army ready for enlistment in case of mobilization or war.
Upon presentation at the military center, interested citizens will be informed about the advantages of performing military service as a volunteer reservist, the stages of the recruitment and selection process, the structures designated to perform the selection, the military health unit where they are to undergo the medical examination, and the unit. military or training center where they are to carry out the initial training program, in case they are subject to this training, according to the law.
Candidates from non-military training will also be advised on how to apply for the functions for which they meet the specific criteria for studies and the correspondence of specializations acquired in civilian life with weapons / military services and specialties. , states the Ministry of National Defense.
Required documents
Upon presentation at the military center, citizens wishing to perform military service as a volunteer reservist will complete an application form and submit the following documents:
identity card, original and copy;
study documents and / or other documents attesting to other skills acquired in civil life, in original and in copy;
a valid driving license, issued by the Romanian authorities, in original and in copy, if applicable, for candidates without military training, if the fulfillment of the duties of the position for which he is applying implies the management of the specific technique;
the military booklet, in original and in copy, if applicable, only for those who hold the status of reservist.

One of the conditions that the interested parties must meet is to be between 18 and 55 years old. The selection consists of psychological, physical tests and medical examination.
