So Agriculture Education - First Paper Importance of Fisheries Fishery resources play an important role in employment, development of national economy, supply of nutrients and earning foreign exchange. About 5.3 percent of the national income comes from fisheries resources. Due to environmental and natural reasons, our country has a wide field of fish production. As a result of abnormal population growth and increased crop production, the destruction of fish habitats has led to a sharp decline in per capita fish consumption. According to nutritionists, at least 45.34 protein should be taken daily. One-third (15.1 grams) of this will be animal protein. About 80% of protein in Bangladesh comes from fish products. About 12 percent of the lake fish in Bangladesh are involved in fishing or fish related activities. These lakes make a living by extracting fish from open water bodies, mehna and deep sea. There are innumerable ponds all over Bangladesh. Fish production would have increased a lot if intensive Maya farming methods had been used. A lot of manpower is required for the implementation of intensive fish farming programs. In this way, fish farming programs have to be adopted to increase employment opportunities. After the export of manpower and readymade garments, fish is the main commodity from which a lot of foreign exchange is being earned. About 10 percent of the export income of Bangladesh comes from fish and fish national products! Among the exported resources are shrimp, dried fish, frog legs etc. There are innumerable ponds in Grameganj in Bangladesh. Fifty-five percent of these ponds have been brought under fish farming and another 36 percent for fish tea. It is possible to bring under. The remaining 15 percent fell. The ownership of these ponds which are unfit for fish farming is in the hands of farmers or the poor in every country. Through renovation, it is possible to cultivate fish in these ponds for the socio-economic development of the poor and the youth. It is possible to make a balanced diet of poultry by using unused parts of fish such as scales, cut, entrails etc. and dried fish powder. Feeding these non-vegetarian food rich poultry produces eggs and meat. Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as more and more poultry farms have been established in Bangladesh. Vehicles are used to transport fish and fish products, fish pens, etc. from one place to another. As a result, the income of the transport owners and the officers / employees engaged in transport is increased and the nation is executed. In our country, there are innumerable fallow lands, reservoirs, dighis, majapukur, khalbil, haor-bars, etc., which can be brought under fish farming and used properly. There are four sources of fisheries resources in Bangladesh. These are 1. Inland open water bodies and reservoirs connected with open areas are called inland open water bodies. Inland open water bodies include rivers and creeks, haors, beels, lakes and floodplains. The number and production of fish in different open water bodies is continuously decreasing. At present the amount of muddy water in the country is 40, 46, 316
