(2012) by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. At the request of his friends, colleagues and wife, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman started writing this autobiography in the middle of 1977 while he was a political prisoner in Dhaka Central Jail. But from 17 January 1977, Bangabandhu was detained in the Dhaka cantonment in the historic Agartala case and writing of biographies stopped. The events of the biography date back to 1955. Although he spent most of his youth in solitary confinement, he was uncompromising and fearless. In this book, he has expressed various life experiences, deep insights and political observations in simple language. In the essay "Bayannar Dingule", the memory of Bangabandhu's imprisonment in 1952 and his release from jail is narrated. The author went on a hunger strike in 1952 to protest against the misrule and indiscriminate detention of political prisoners by the then Pakistani regime. The role and behavior of the jail authorities during the hunger strike, meeting with the leaders and workers and various strategies to convey the message to them have been mentioned in the memorandum. The news of the shooting in the procession of the students on the 21st of February in Dhaka has been specially mentioned in the memoirs. At the same time, the heartfelt account of the thoughts of the parents-wife-children knowing that death was imminent while on hunger strike and the memory of finally returning to the relatives after being released has also come to light in the compiled part.
