Increase and Conservation of Soil Fertility and Productivity Soil fertility is declining day by day due to various reasons. Conserving soil fertility is essential to increase crop production. The following approaches must be followed to maintain and increase soil fertility. 1. Crop seedlings can be supplied to the soil by application of chemical fertilizers and application of appropriate amount of chemical fertilizers. Trees absorb various nutrients from the soil such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potash etc. As a result, soil fertility is constantly declining. Therefore, in the interest of increasing soil fertility, chemical fertilizers should be applied in standard and balanced doses. Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potash, Zinc, Sulfur are all deficiencies in the soil and we have to apply fertilizers. Nitrogen is easily eliminated from the soil, so we have to apply urea fertilizer repeatedly in each crop. But since phosphorus is not easily depleted, its stability in soil is comparatively higher. Each crop should be supplied to the soil with the same amount or more of the amount of nutrients that are taken from the soil as a result of planting. Otherwise, it is not possible to preserve or increase soil fertility in any way. Moreover, if the amount of a nutrient in the soil is high, its excess often prevents the plant from absorbing another element. As a result, despite the presence of nutrients in the soil, it is not acceptable to the plants and this element occurs in the plants. To preserve and increase the fertility of the land through the use of chemical fertilizers in a balanced manner. By applying organic fertilizers, those organic substances improve the physical, chemical and biological condition of the soil. In addition, organic matter provides essential nutrients to plants. Organic matter has the ability to heat the soil
