How to buy an Unstoppable Domains' domain name with BitcoinCash?

Unstoppable Domains is a company that provides blockchain based domain names that are essentially NFTs on Ethereum and Zilliqa

These are NFTs that have a good use case and can be used to host websites as well as wallet address.

Moreover can be a great investment if you can get a great domain name now and sell it for higher price in the future (it does have a great amount of risk though).

Why is it a good time to buy an unstoppable domain now?

Basically Layer2 solution is going live on 15th November and claiming these domain on your wallet is going to be free now. Source

Earlier you would have to paying Ethereum gas fee which can get insanely high which performing smart contracts.

Buying a domain on Unstoppable Domains

Now I am writing this article to show how you can step-by-step buy a domain name from Unstoppable Domains.

Step 1: Register on unstoppabledomains.com

Click on Sign Up / Log In

Now Either you can choose Continue with email or Continue with Google

I am going to choose to continue with email

Enter your email ID

Choose a strong password

Now you have an account

check your e-mail and verify

How to buy a domain name

On the home page there is a option to search for any domain name that you like

Here you can search for any thing and check the availability, make sure that the name has meaning and is memorable.

Here you can see that the domain name I have searched for has 3 extension that are available and rest are already taken by someone else.

Most popular domain extension is .crypto but other also have some value

Do note that since I have a number in the domain name the price is quite low ($10)

While domain names with number are less desirable, sometimes you can get good domains that mean something and can have value (again risky)

Example are like 1bchclub.wallet

Now I am going to select .coin extension for now and click Add to Cart

Now we can go to cart and buy it but before that let's do some research on this domain name to check how much search volume the key word gets

For this purpose I am going to use Neil Patel's website to check for its SEO traffic, which is basically how much search engine like Google has people searching for this key word

I am using the following https://app.neilpatel.com/en/ubersuggest/

Do note on this link you can only do 3 searches on a single day, if you want you can sign up to use more

Do note I am searching in English Language & United States location

Now looking at the results I can see that people are searching for it

You can see that it has a search volume of 301,000 which is Good

SEO Difficulty is 82 which is Ok

Paid Difficulty is 1 which is Good

And Cost Per Click is $0.52 which is Ok

Now this tells me that while there is a good traffic on search engines for this key word the cost for click for advertisers is just $0.52 somewhat low but not bad at all.

Therefore I know the domain I am buying at least have some value and desirability

Now Before just for a bit for research I am going to add the extension name to it as well and search again

And here you can see the results have changed and are undesirable now, but this is ok because we are just checking as and additional key word of our extension.

Buying the domain with BitcoinCash (BCH)

Now that we have determined that the domain has value we can proceed to buy it.

Click Go to Cart

At the next page it will ask you Do you live in the USA? Click on your answer and click Checkout

Here you will see multiple ways to make the payment to purchase this domain

Now since I am going to pay with BitcoinCash I am going to select Cryptocurrency option

Select Cryptocurrency and click on Start Transaction

Here I am going to select BitcoinCash as I am going to pay using that Crypto, you can see this is giving me how much BCH I need to send to cover my $10 cost ( this may change with fluctuations in prices

Note you only have 60 minutes to complete this transaction

Here it this giving me a the address and QR code to which I can send the BCH to

I am going to scan the QR code and enter the amount as mentioned in my mobile wallet and send

Note:

Very important If you are paying from a wallet like the bitcoin.com mobile wallet by acquiring BCH from noise.cash and/or read,cash then first send some amount like worth $1 or so to another wallet and send it back to you as most of the payment on bitcoin.com wallet from these websites are in small amount.

It will take some time to confirm so be patient and stay on the checkout page

You can also check the transaction on blockchair.com to check if it confirmed or not.

As soon as the payment is done Congratulations the domain is yours

Now you can click on Go to my domains and check it

Now we can see that the purchased domain can there under My Domains

However it is showing it has Unclaimed

It is very important that we claim the domain by connecting our web3 wallet (like metamask)

Since Layer2 solution is going to be released on 15th November 2021 I am going to wait till then to claim it and move it to my personal wallet as a NFT.

You can also claim it right now by paying ETH fees but it can be quite expensive specially now when the ETH prices are shooting up.
