China vs China

Tensions are high right now between 2 Chinas,

1st the Republic of China also known as Taiwan, &

The People's Republic of China also known as Communist China

One China Policy

Apparently, the situation with having 2 Chinas led to the One China Policy that states you can only recognize one of the 2 entities claiming to be China, either the communist China or Taiwan

US's political ambiguity

US recognize the One China Policy but maintains ties with both of the 2 entities in an status quo of ambiguity that helps it reap benefit from both of them.

Nancy Polesi visit

Tension have been high ever since the speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Polesi visited Taipei 2 days ago.

And Communist China is mad over the simple visit and is acting out by conducting military drills around Taiwan.

Why such a issue

The Communist party is preparing for the National People's Congress elections were they will be electing their president and the current faction want to appear strong against their rivals in order to keep a hold on to power.

Political show

The drills we see on news are just being conducted around Taiwan in an effort to show strength similar to the harsh lockdowns in place at various provinces under the Zero Covid Policy.

Could it lead to another war

A lot of people are worried about a full on war between Communist China and Taiwan China

But it seems highly unlikely,

• if it was going to start it would have started already - why conduct live drills and waste ammunition instead to actually attacking. Its all bark and no bite.

• it could get USA involved and this would lead to a direct armed conflict between the 2 giants, while communist army has got stronger over the years it is still in the shadow of US army. Last time an Asian country got USA involved in an armed conflict led to its destruction.

• it will disrupt the trade, lets face it politicians be it communist of democratic all just care about money and all the nationalist is reserved for rallying commoners for their bidding. A war it greatly impact the economies of the warring nations and led to less profits.

No need to worry!?

No, you should absolutely be worried, because even though this is just a political stunt. Things could go wrong, some happening could lead to a strike meant to be just for show actually hit something and the rival would have no choice but to retaliate.

So yeah world is on the edge of its seat.

With the Chinese conflict

It seems that the Chinese conflict will not lead to an arm engagement because of the simple fact that there is too much to lose for everyone involved.

Even the communist know if this gets out of hand a nuclear threat could be an dangerous development for not just them but for every living thing on Earth.

Which is way a small skirmishes ahead the modern world cannot handle large scale war of the nuclear capacity.

Which is why you can rest assured but don't stop praying.
