"Her heart stopped beating, maybe because it was beating for him." -John

This is one of the most heartbreaking lines in the Movie “More Than Words”. I can't remember the last Tagalog Movie I watched that made me cry so much, just now again. I just watched it last night, because I'm curious about how much I read on Facebook about this movie. And they are right it is very painful to watch this movie. The fact that I'm not broken-hearted but I cried a lot in this movie. This movie only proves that death is not the greatest loss in life, but it is what dies inside of us while we live.

The story is about K (played by JC Santos) and Cream (played by Yassi Pressman). K and Cream were both orphans when they started out as friends. Cream lost her parents in an accident and K was left by his mother (for a reason) when his father died. Cream was the first to approach K because even though she was going through a lot of losing her parents, he could see that K seemed to be going through a lot more. She didn't stop paying attention to K until they became best friends and lived under the same roof in K's house. They didn't leave each other and they promised to leave no one behind no matter what happened.

K is the first one to feel love for Cream but Cream is not ready yet because he is afraid that something will change in their relationship. And K respected it so they chose to just be friends. They had a happy time together as friends and K loved Cream quietly in his heart. He took care of her and never left her. He was Cream's backbone and protector at all times.

Destiny seemed to be playful with the two of them. Because when Cream was just waiting for K to confess again, everything became complicated for them. K found out that he has cancer and he doesn't want Cream to know because he doesn't want her to worry for him. He hid it as if nothing was happening to him.

On the other hand, since Cream really wants K to confess to her again, she follows the advice of a friend of theirs to try to make K jealous to find out how he really feels for her. Until she met John (played by Diego Gonzaga). Thinking that John would be the way to find out how K really feels for her, she tried to use him but she was mistaken. It seemed like her relationship with John was just ok for K and he's even pushing her more toward John. But what she doesn't know is that K is very hurt to know that she already loves someone else. And because he loves her so much, he chose Cream to be happy with someone else because he wanted her to be in good hands before he even left this world.

Cream is hurt that K doesn't seem to care about her even if she goes to someone else. Until she accidentally saw K’s medicine in their house and she found out that it was a medicine for Cancer. She followed K to the hospital and there she also accidentally heard what the doctor said to K, that there was little time left for him. Cream was very hurt by what she heard, but she still tried to hide from K what he found out. That's when she realized why K seemed to prefer her to be with someone else. Cream pretended that she didn't know anything about his illness. She agreed with K's desire for her to be happy with someone else even if it was against her will and even if she was already hurting too much too. She knew that this is what K wants, to see her happy even though he was gone.

They are both hurting but they have to pretend also for the sake of each other's feelings. Cream married John and left K alone. K also respected John's wish that he'll take care of Cream after their marriage. But in the end, it wasn't that easy for Cream to leave K, especially since she knew his true condition. She went back to K and apologized to John for leaving him after their marriage. She accompanied K and took care of him until the last moment of his life. She showed him how much she loves him until his last breath.

And the most painful part of the movie was that Cream can't accept the loss of K. She loves him so much, and her world revolves only around K. So after a few days that K passed away, her heart stopped beating. That's when John's said that "Her heart stopped beating, maybe because it was beating for him."

I know there are many shortcomings in my story so it's better if you just watch it too. Sorry for spoiling, lols. But this story is really beautiful, heartbreaking but with many twists and lessons when it comes to love.

Some lessons that I've Learned and never forgets in this Movie:

• Love is sacrifice. You are willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of the person you love. Even if you know how much pain it will cause you.

• You are willing to pretend that you are okay or that you are happy even if it's not just so that the person you love will not worry about your condition.

• You are willing to endure all the pain, as long as you can see that the person you love is happy.

• When you already found out that your life will gonna end so soon, you will make sure that the one you love is in the right person or right place before you leave her/him.

• You are willing to fulfill your promise to the person you love even until the next life.

Love is so scary. Because we don't know how far or how long that love will last. We don't know how long the person we love will stay in our life. But as long as they are still there by our side, never get tired of showing and letting them know how much we love them. Don't wait for the day to come when it's too late before we can show it or make them feel appreciated. We should appreciate the people we love as much as we can, until our last breath if possible.
