Social media over morality

It is apparent that in our world along with the advancements are the adjustments and people particularly the youth is no exception. However, while it is happening, an increasing dilution of our precious moral and ethical values instilled in us may have its adjustments as well. The expansion of the social economic forces have greatly impacted the youth and its aftereffects is rather painful.

It is a "Me, Myself and I" world now. Youth oftentimes have the luxury of time to post on twitter about them having their meals with friends and worse yet, they post selfies on Instagram and in Facebook that are way too insensitive especially in times when the country is facing a very serious matter such as calamities and this pandemic times making them invulnerable and disrespectful in one way or another. Instead of idolizing those people who influenced and combat against slavery, those whose job helped the sickly by slowly finding cure of cancer, viruses, and what they focus more on celebrities and anyone who are good looking.

In addition, social issues increase in number. Due to freedom of expression/speech on net, everyone tries to publicise their current thoughts and opinions or merely jokes not thinking that it may offend some friends.Other studies found links between TV viewing, smoking, drinking and risky sexual behaviour are copied by minors out-looked from online media.

Although change is inevitable, our ethical and moral values as much as possible be preserved.

We are all familiar with life's vicissitudes, and to meet that values in a way of protection should be elaborated. If we look closely, there are means and way to that. For instance, rather than watching television, playing video games, surfing on the Internet or undyingly tapping phones, reading helps to give understanding and wisdom which also gives vision on oneself. Parents also need to take part by observing intently to the behaviour of their children and monitor their habits once in a while.

Technology has been a blessing in disguise, but on the other side of the coin, do we give it a single thought that it is slowly murdering our morality?

Let us stop the gradually diminishing values a common young has. Lest we forget, young people holds the future but the deterioration of values that overtook their minds might result to a bleak future..

This is the real truth on what happening today. Most especially to the children's that spend too much time on their computer or on there phones. Rather than studying, playing with their peers they rather spending all their time on the internet that can be harmful if not being guided. The great example for this is the momo challenge that became the death of many kids.
