Eren Yeager! Attack on Titan LAST SEASON!

Eren Yeager: Hero or Villain

Attack on Titan manga may have ended but to Anime-only watchers, the announcement of the Final season marks the beginning.
For those of you that haven't watched Attack on Titan, I highly recommend that you drop any anime on your watch list and watch this masterpiece.

Plot

Attack on Titan is set in a world where the last remaining humans live inside cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from the gigantic man-eating humanoids referred to as Titans; 

The story follows Eren Yeager who witnesses the gruesome death of his mother by a Titan and the destruction of his hometown, filled with anger and sorrow, Eren vows to kill all titans and free humanity from the rampant and cruel Titans( We all know how this turned out ), and enlist in the military with childhood friends Armin and Mikasa.

In the first, second, and third seasons, we see Eren as a pathetic Protagonist who is just talking and always needs to be rescued by people. 

In the first season, He is abducted by the Female Titan and we all know that so many loved characters were killed in that episode (Petra) 😔, Eren is later saved by Levi Ackerman (Best Boy) who takes him to safety.

The second season shows us a surprising betrayal with Reiner Braun and Bertholt Hoover (Berotorito) being the Colossal and Armored Titan. Eren tries to fight Reiner as he is filled with rage over the betrayal and is once again beaten and kidnapped as usual. Led by Commander Erwin Smith they pursue Reiner and Bertholt.

Countless lives are lost and Commander Erwin loses his arm but still orders them to push forward "There Is No Future Where Humanity Can Inhabit These Lands Without Eren!".Eren is saved yet again and is surprised to see the Titans he loathes were actually Humans turned Titans.

(P.s) you could almost hear the music. lol

The third season was filled with a lot but as always Eren is kidnapped but this time he is saved by Historia Reiss after giving up on life and finding out that he is Pathetic (Took him long enough). In the following episodes, Eren is depressed as he sees his father's actions in the past through countless flashbacks from the Attack Titan.

The fourth season commenced, and we all thought that it would be the same old Eren who cries all the time, but we see a new Eren who may seem calm but is an emotionless murderer, he has successfully infiltrated Marley as a soldier and plans to destroy it. To be honest, I was shocked to see Crybaby Eren change all of a sudden but I loved the way he was portrayed in the new season as the "Hunter and not the Hunted".

In the episode "Declaration of war" We see Eren but this time he has a dream to destroy Marley and free Paradis, There have been discussions that Eren just reversed the roles because this was the same thing that was done to him, The episode shows us gory images as we see dead Soldiers, Women, and Children. 

We also see Eren devour the Warhammer Titan after using the Cart Titan as an "egg cracker", To me, all that Eren did in Marley was Just, because they truly deserved it by not forgetting revenge and turning a new leaf. 

For the past 100 years, they have killed and converted thousands of "Eldians" into Titans just because of the actions of Past Eldians. (What do you think about the Eren attack on Marley, Comment below.)

The new Eren to me is the manifestation of Pain and Suffering that Paradis has gone through over the past 100 years, it may not be the right way of doing things but this is the way he was taught by Marley. "Revenge = Revenge" that's just the ideology of both sides.

With the help of his brother Zeke, Eren plans to wipe out Marley and other parts of the world leaving Paradis the sole island in the world,

He has the Founding titan and the royal blood of his brother, and nothing is going to get in his way even his childhood friends Armin and Mikasa who are shocked by the new Eren. 

(i am not going to add spoilers for the manga).

Eren Yeager:

Eren Yeager is a man with several issues, apart from his mom's death he has witnessed how the Titans have suppressed Paradis and its people, they lived in walls, they couldn't explore and food shortages were normal, This was the life Eren Yeager and so many Eldians had to live with for 100 years. He may not have taken the right approach but all he ever wanted was ''FREEDOM'', he didn't want to be oppressed and accused of past actions he didn't even commit nor witness. If Marley had embraced peace and forgotten revenge, This Eren Yeager wouldn't have been made.

To me, Eren Yeager isn't the villain neither is he the hero, he was the solution the world needed some would say the cure for the virus, he was the only one willing to bear everything on his back and push forward even if it meant sacrificing thousands of people and betraying his friends. He did what no one wanted to do and that was embrace ''Freedom".

Conclusion

Ah, once again I have written too much just like the one-piece post (Gomenasai). Attack on Titan manga has ended but the Final chapters show us who Eren Yeager truly is and what he stands for in the story, I am sure we all have our different opinions about the ending but I think the ending was good.
