On April 19, 1983, The Teresa Carreño Theater was inaugurated, although in February 1976 the José Felix Rivas Hall was inaugurated and its construction began in 1973, it is one of the most important cultural complexes in Latin America, the second largest in South America and the largest in Venezuela, its two main venues are La Ríos Reyna and José Felix Ribas. Since its inauguration, the Teresa Carreño Theater has become the cultural hub of the city of Caracas, in its surroundings there is Los Caobos Park, the University of the Arts, Central Park, the Alba Caracas Hotel, the headquarters of the Rajatabla Foundation and other important theaters. In its facilities was the headquarters of the National Theater and Danzhoy Company, the José Felix Ribas Hall is the headquarters of the Symphonic Orchestra of Venezuela, it also has the Teresa Carreño Ballet and the Teresa Carreño Opera Choir.
