Teleboconó (TCB) is a Venezuelan regional television station that operates as a non-profit foundation. In 1978 it began its trial transmission period, making its transmissions official as of February 26, 1979. Telebocó is considered the first community channel inaugurated in Venezuela and the third regional channel, since between 1956 and 1958 other regional channels had been inaugurated: Ondas del Lago TV, Radio Valencia Televisión, which would later become Tele 13, these channels had a very short existence and it was not until 1978 that another regional channel was put into operation until Telebocó was born, which is why many people consider it the first regional channel in Venezuela, in addition to being the regional channel that has been on the air for the longest and continues to this day. Telebocó was founded by a group of people from Bococó, Edo Trujillo, led by the Captain Pablo Milliani Aranguren and his wife Doña Delia de Miliani who were its main promoters and creators, reaching some programs in the early 80s. of the National Television Channel 5, among them the program La Fauna Hosted by Pedro Trebbau and Produced at that time by Francisco Afonso Concepción. Since its inception, Telebocó has been managed with cultural and educational criteria, its headquarters are in Boconó and it has two broadcasting towers located on Cerro Zamuro and Cerro Guaramacal. Thanks to the joint work carried out by some State entities such as the Mayor's Office of Boconó, Corpoelec, some private companies and benefactors supported by some National Channels, it has been possible to reinvest in the maintenance and recovery of their transmitters, which had suffered a marked deterioration due to the passage of the years and the action of the climate. Currently, the Teleboconó signal reaches part of the Trujillo State, the Portuguesa, Apure, Cojedes, Barinas States and some municipalities of Lara, Mérida and Zulia. Telebocó a channel that for many was crazy to create a television station in Boconó due to the small existing population and the distance of Boconó from the rest of Edo Trujillo and especially from the capital of Edo. Teleboconó a dream come true with difficulties but with a lot of effort and dedication, which in the beginning operated from the house of the Milliani couple and managed to highlight the name of Boconó in the National arena.
