There is a fruit called Semeruco, which attracts my attention to the point that years ago I planted a small tree in the garden of my house in Paparo, it is already producing fruits, it is the third time that I harvest them, this weekend I collected several fruits. about the size of a meter and when ripe they are red in color, they have an acidic but pleasant taste. They contain a lot of vitamin C, much more than lemon or any other citrus fruit.
The Semeruco is the emblematic tree of El Tocuyo, Lara State and its fruit as I said before is the semeruco although they also call it cherry or manzanita, it is used as a remedy to help in the recovery of states of great weakness, it is also used to help in liver problems.
With the semeruco you can make juices and jams and in some artisan chocolatiers in Lara State they use them as a filling for chocolates, they are a delight.
