THE LIVER AND ITS EMOTIONS

The liver is the largest and most complex organ in the body.

It has an enormous capacity for regeneration, in response to different aggressions such as toxins, alcohol, medications and many others.

It is a heavy organ and has an average weight of between 1 and 2.5 kg. It is highly vascular, almost 1.5 liters of blood pass through the liver every minute. Together with the kidneys it is an important source of vital energy.

Furthermore, the psyche and the liver work together; the liver is a vehicle for the discharge of strong emotions.

Located under the diaphragm, in the upper right part of the abdominal cavity, the liver is the organ of vitality, assimilation and detoxification. It has a large number of tasks (digestive, cleansing, hormonal, immunological, etc). It is known to have nearly six hundred organic functions but only a few have been scientifically proven.

Its basic functions are five:

1- Circulatory activity.

2- Secretory and excretory.

3- Metabolic.

4- Protective and detoxifying.

5- Hematological.

Some symptoms of poor liver function

Sleep disturbances (morning fatigue, sleep problems, etc.)

Headaches or headache (pain in the right eye and throbbing pain in the forehead)

Digestive problems (bloating, halitosis, pasty and dry mouth, etc.)

Skin disorders (acne, oily skin, dandruff, facial paleness, etc))

Alopecia

Circulatory problems (edema in the legs, hemorrhoids, dilation of the veins in the abdomen, spontaneous bruising, etc.)

Let's not forget that the liver can produce referred pain at the level of the shoulder, right scapula, cervico-dorsal area.

The professional must take this possibility into account when treating tendinitis in the right shoulder and elbow.

EMOTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Liver problems show us that there is something in our life that we cannot "digest".

The emotional state and mental clarity of a person depend on the free circulation of energy and blood. The liver controls both factors, and therefore the stabilization of the emotional state. A healthy liver provides clear judgment and firm decisions; the action it generates is fast and consistent. Therefore the positive emotion of a healthy liver is idealism.

Blocking the energy of the liver creates a depressive state. The negative psychic tendency is anger, which occurs as a reaction to depression and is accompanied by crises of irritability, bad mood and violence. Cholera crises are normally suppressed until the moment in which they are released, leading to true volcanic eruptions. This emotion is considered the most harmful, as it conditions all the functions of the energy system, reducing the vitality it needs to function, especially in the digestive phase.

However, on the contrary, when these attacks of anger and rage are repressed and not let out, what is achieved is to densify the energy of the liver, with the risk that it may result in a more serious pathology (hepatitis, liver failure, etc. ) or by another type of compensation such as alcoholism.

Headaches and migraines, considered diseases generated by the liver, appear when this organ feels affected and fails to perform its function of pushing and distributing energy towards the head and extremities: then the head becomes congested and heated at the same time that hands and feet get cold.

Recommendations and tips

Modify certain hygienic and dietary habits (physical activity, stress management, night rest and modify diet.)

It is also advisable with the supervision of a qualified professional to drain the liver and gallbladder.

Liver problems also express our difficulty in living or accepting our feelings, our own affections or those offered to us by others.

He is the "master of cunning and action." The health of this organ determines the ability to be a leader; he is the "eternal winner". The capacity for foresight, that is to anticipate the internal and external reality, will depend on the health that you have.
