It was announced on Monday,
In our school's giant hall,
That a girl who suffered from Anaemia,
left her body and her soul
I entered the classroom,
there was a shiver in my spine,
I felt like I lost someone,
who was never really mine
I sat beside her in math class,
but never had the courage to ask
what wars was she fighting,
behind her perfect-student mask
On monday, as I sat beside her desk
there was only one thought in my brain,
that the only A+ she must have fought for,
was the blood type in her veins.
