Same Sex Marriage should be legalized.
Same Sex Marriage should be legalized.
Same sex marriage is basically a practice between same sex, like man to man or woman to woman. Same sex marriage is regulated by a proposed law and sometimes, by religion. Since our country is known to be a religious country, the church does not approve this practice since this do not abide the religious beliefs, yet as of 2019, the supreme court is getting a lot of petition to pass the same sex marriage and be legalized here in the Philippines.
Same sex marriage should be legalized be cause this promotes human rights. Marriage is legal and is not a moral issue. If a couple want to get married, whether heterosexual or homosexual couple, they have the right and the government should support them. When we say same sex, we talk about the LGBTQ+ Community, they are human beings and are under the law of human rights. Because of this, this should not be a moral issue because clearly there is nothing wrong with marrying the love of their life and technically that is how marriage should be bound to lovers together. Most of the cases, for example, those who are in a homosexual relationship, they live in together asnd once their partner died, they cannot inherit the money or property of their party because they do not have marriage contract or certificate to show. This is a serious problem that needs to be solved. This would allow the Filipino lesbians and gays to strengthen their rights, civil marriage to same sex couples would serve as a respect to their fundamental rights, and result to equality and nondiscrimination society. Specifically, this action would also benefit the LGBTQ rights and would provide their relationships under legal protection. Our country should protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ Community because they are our people and still make up our society.
Legalizing same sex marriage will benefit all of us, and that the legislative sector should revisit the Family code. This will fix the different aspects faced by the LGBTQ+ Community by granting them to legalize their union to their same sex partner. Marriage should be available and accessible to everyone regardless of gender because it is their to do so. It is a ticket allowing them to also access numerous rights that would lead to being equally protected.
