There is something I have to say before I start looking. I've never played golf before. Like most sports, I don't like to watch golf. In our country, I do not know about any golf player other than Tiger Woods, which comes to mind when it comes to golf. My biggest experience with golf was the mini golf experiment we set up with stones and clubs. As for the game part, my only golf memories other than the golf game I played on Nintendo's NES platform as a kid come from Dead Rising and Last of Us Part 2 games. Thanks to the PGA Tour 2K21, it's the first time I've been using the golf club for its purpose in 10 years.

The fact that I have little interest in golf gives me the opportunity to write this review from a different angle. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to experience from scratch how enjoyable a game we really use the golf club for its own purposes can be. PGA Tour 2K21 was an ideal game for this.
Our game is about golf, going to various fields and trying to get the ball into the hole with the least number of hits. The game does not have any story mode. Our character, which we have created with our hands, can be a contestant who qualifies for the PGA Tour or a golf master who competes directly in the PGA Tour. If you are playing for the first time, do not say "let me start from the best", I say, practice your hand and play the eliminations. Otherwise, the game you have to play calmly can lead to the action of breaking the golf club in your head.
Let's Use The Golf Club Properly
Even though producer HB Studios worked hard to make a realistic game of golf, he started out with the idea of "golf for everyone". The developer team has aimed to make a game that everyone can enjoy by putting many different customization options and supporting content into the game. The game, which also takes the name of the PGA Tour, is designed to live the atmosphere of a real tournament from every angle.
The educational parts of the game are very detailed. The trainings that start with how to hit the ball go up to the level that you can adapt to the environmental conditions with which stick you hit the ball. Definitely try the easy-to-understand training sessions that take someone like me who has never played golf to a level where they can say, "The wind is blowing from the left with 5 mph, then I have to hit it by curving it with a number 6 iron club". It gives both easy to understand and really useful information.
Hitting the ball is quite simple. You set the angle with the left analog, determine the power of the hit with the right and send the ball. The clubs you choose before the tournament determine how far and how controlled the ball will go. You are trying to reach the hole with as few hits as possible, taking into account the direction and speed of the wind. Although it may sound quite easy at first, you will see that you start to have difficulties on the tracks where the wind is getting stronger.
The game has many support options for novice players and those who want a little more arcade gameplay. There are many helpful options such as indicators where you can see your strength and angle, options to predict which direction the shots will go, suggest the most risk-free stick-stance for each shot. After a while, instead of the stick suggested by the game, you start taking risks, trying different things and getting better results. The best part is that all these options are optional.
If you are confident, you can turn off all the supports that the game offers, and instinctively adjust the angle at which the stick will go when you swing it, and how much force you apply. Although I don't use it because most of the shots I try to do this way hit the audience around, it's a nice option for those who want a realistic golf experience.
The small number of spectators in the first tournaments you participate in increases as you participate in larger tournaments. You feel as if you are watching a real golf match thanks to the audience who react according to the hits you make and the announcers who interpret your shots. Although the general reactions and movements of the audience were quite successful, it was a little striking that the man who had a ball on his head did not react at all.
Time to Rival the Great Golfers
In the MyPlayer section where you can create your own golf player, you have several different options where you make a player pleasing to your eye and enter the fight section. You can participate in qualifiers and improve yourself, you can improve your level to earn some money and buy new clothes and sticks. Or, you can join the PGA Tour, which is the main challenge of the game, and compete for the first place between your rivals who follow you and the sponsors who want to make a deal with you.
PGA Tour matches allow us to compete on 15 different golf courses that have been turned into one-to-one games from their real models. On the one hand, we are trying to surpass 12 famous professional golf players who foster our rivals, on the other hand, we are trying to benefit from brands that make requests such as "put the ball in the hole without any mistake", "throw the ball in the green area without hitting the tree" to become our sponsor.
It is possible to defeat our professional opponents only by playing a decent game. Each opponent we beat opens a golf club or different outfits. Although I found the idea of the opponent nice, I cannot say that it adds too much excitement. Since I don't know any of these athletes, it doesn't seem to matter.
Sponsors manage to be more interesting as they offer special challenges during the match. Fulfilling these requests allows us to unlock special items. The idea of playing a hole that I can easily finish with different sticks makes sense, depending on how beautiful the outfit to be given in return looks. It adds more excitement to the game than famous opponents. I can say that I am not very interested in a celebrity who can only see their beats as a clip, and we cannot control as a character even if we wanted to.
Players who want to play online can create their own community or join other communities. Thanks to the communities, you can organize tournaments according to your own rules and compete in these tournaments. In addition, you can have fun against your friends with the game, online and local combat options, where it is also possible to play one-to-one matches.
My Result Evaluation
PGA Tour 2K21 is a game that appeals to both golf lovers and beginners like me. In a sport that does not have too many serious rivals, a game that you can spend a long time at the beginning of the career mode, online struggles and the opportunity to create your own track if you can get bored with all of them, features that increase the playing time of the game.
Maybe the price of the game may be a little too much to try, which is a problem brought by the game prices in our country, not the game. If you are planning to buy only one sports game this year and spend a long time in front of it, the PGA Tour 2K21 will be a very good choice. If you somehow manage to find it cheap, I suggest you give this game a chance.
