I want to start the day with a nice review article. Shadowgun War Games, signed by Madfinger, promises competitive gameplay on the mobile platform. Competitive game modes, which we have encountered with sporadic examples before, have increased their number both with infrastructure innovations and with the shift of players to this side. I have to say from the beginning, if Shadowgun War Games manages to develop all the features and properly functioning system, it can be one of the pioneers of this genre.

The game combines different genres and a new competitor enters the 5v5 online FPS arena on mobile platforms.

Shadowgun War Games has a system that is played in terms of FPS camera and includes competitive modes. The biggest difference of the game is that it contains different dynamics in a solid way. It has a nice map and combat feel like in Call of Duty Mobile. Of course, you cannot take down your opponents with a few bullets. This allows the feeling of conflict to last longer and better connect the players who love this genre. In addition, as in the Overwatch game, each character in the game has some unique features. Two different features have been added to each character, and these features cause many variables on the battlefield.

Before moving on to character traits, I will talk about the two most important handicaps of the game. Currently, the number of maps and characters are very few in the game. You can somehow ignore the number of maps, but for a game with 5 characters and 10 players, it's pretty small. Moreover, when the game starts, it starts with 3 characters and then you can unlock the other two characters when you level up. Of course, the number of characters will increase in the future, but at least in order to differentiate the teams at the first opening, there had to be 8, 10 characters. The characters and their features in the game are as follows;

Slade: Maybe Slade is one of the characters I use the most. Among the biggest advantages of Slade are the use of bombs and the ability to heal himself, along with two different machine guns. Being able to heal yourself, especially in an important conflict, gives you an advantage in that encounter.

Sara: We can briefly call Sara a Medic type actor. Serving as a support by healing her teammates, Sara can also take a different path in terms of strategy by opening a large shield around her. Especially in the relay race, the shield you leave behind can prevent your opponent from firing the last bullet at you.

Revenant: For this character, we can make a character analogy that acts as a Tank. Being a little slower than other characters may cause him to fall behind in the relay race, but I can say that he plays a key role in team fights with his features that increase his endurance and stun the opponent.

Jet: Apart from its advantageous gun and shotgun in close combat, Jet has quite different features. Apart from the CT-eating splash feature after 3 uses, Jet, which creates a crack in time, can cover a certain distance invisibly.

Willow: Willow, who plays the role of a sniper in the game, uses a light machine gun in close combat. When we look at its features, we see the Super Charge and mine laying features, which cause higher damage. The mine incident not only allows you to take a better position, but also puts you in an advantageous position during escapes or grabbing the flag.

Shadowgun War Games has a structure that can be played as 5vs5. As soon as you enter the game, you first encounter the game mode we know as Team Deathmatch. The aim of this mode, as you all know, is to equalize the opposing team within a certain time and reach the maximum number of kills as a team. When you reach the 5th level in the game, you encounter the flag grabbing mode. This mode naturally includes more strategy than team Deathmatch mode. While trying to suppress the opposing team, you have to miss the flag in their base and bring it to your base. In the same way, you need to be on the alert, as rival players are also trying to steal your flag. In other words, in some cases, you can even try to protect your own flag halfway while carrying the opponent's flag.

If we open the conflict dynamics

I played both game modes for a long time and I can say that they are quite enjoyable. At this point, I can say that the two elements I encountered indicate that the game is not fully settled yet. The first reason is that most players are not aware of the operation of mods such as grabbing the flag. I can say that there are a lot of players who see it as a mode based only on hitting opponents, probably due to the age factor. Maybe half of the 20 games I played, my teammates had nothing to do with the flags. Of course, since there are such players in the opposing team, it may be up to you to capture and protect the flag.

Shadowgun War Games, which looks very nice visually, is out for both iOS and Android platforms. If you play the game on the phone, I can say that it is quite easy to control. You can play the game as you wish with the targeting system that you can change from the settings. This gives you great convenience while playing on the phone. While I was making the Shadowgun War Games review video, I played on iPhone 11 and even though I played for a long time, I did not encounter any problems in terms of control and visuals.

Since other scanning tablets are larger, control is also difficult. You can play with controllers like Dualshock 4, but here, too, the keys do not work properly and you cannot see any indication of controllers in the settings section. Probably because the game is new, the production team overlooked these points a bit. On the other hand, controller support may cause some problems for such a game. The last thing I should mention about the game, which is completely in Turkish, is the store prices. It is possible to play the game completely for free, but the cosmetics and season packs sold in the store are really expensive. I would say that a balance has to be reached in this regard.

As a result, as you can see in the Shadowgun War Games review, the game has become one of the most enjoyable competitive productions you can play on the mobile platform. If you like this genre, I'd say you should definitely check it out. The game has very important deficiencies in terms of characters, maps and modes, but I have to say that it has the potential to overcome these deficiencies over time.
