Devil May Cry 5 was adding a new character named V next to the Dante and Nero characters we are familiar with from the series. Of course, I will not give spoilers to those who have not played the game yet, but we can say that V, which has very different gameplay dynamics compared to Dante and Nero, is also an important character in terms of story. In Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, we see that the fan favorite character Vergil is included in this trio.
Vergil has been reworked for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition and includes features that may be your favorite among these four. Capcom, who has entered into a new work including hit animations and movements to transfer the character to the game, has been very successful in this. Let's clear a big confusion here, of course. Tax is not joining the game with new missions or a peculiar story line. You are allowed to play this character in the current missions or in the Bloody Palace mode, taking into account the levels in the game. In other words, it can be said that you were asked to experience the same game in a different way with renewed technical details and a brand new character.
Apart from Vergil, different modes such as Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight Mode, which affect the gameplay dynamics, have also been added to the game. For example, when you switch to turbo mode, you can experience much faster and action-packed gameplay by making more serial combos. The legendary Dark Knight mode, on the other hand, is designed for players who find the demons in the game ordinary and inadequate. Thanks to this mod, more demons can taste your sword.
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition version developed for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X / S brings with it many technical innovations as I mentioned at the beginning. Although the game is the same with these innovations, it has been specially optimized for these consoles and has been made to work better. There is a game in front of us that kind of breaks its chains. I played the Playstation 5 version of the game and I would like to share both the details on paper and my experiences with you.
Let's start with DualSense support first. As you know, the Playstation 5 controller includes features such as tactile feedback and adaptive trigger keys. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition uses all these features of the DualSense controller, except for the 3D sound feature. When you swing a sword, make combos or different effects on the game field, you feel that the controller gives you feedback in different ways. For example, situations such as the recoil of the gun in gunfire are directly reflected to the controller. Also, Nero's sword Red Queen, as you know, has a motorcycle-style gas system. Apart from normal sword strokes, when you start to rooting the gas with this sword, you feel that the trigger button reacts accordingly. In short, the game has used these features of DualSense very well and this adds a great color to the game.
While the game was being transferred to the new generation consoles, some visual improvements were of course also made. ray tracing technology is one of these innovations. The game, which is already visually successful, has been made better with ray tracing technology. Here, of course, we see that there are two different options for the players. First of all, if you are playing on a monitor or TV with 60 or 75 Hz values, I would definitely recommend you to play Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition in graphics mode, that is, ray tracing supported.
But if you have a monitor or television of 120 Hz or above, the color of the work changes a little more there. The performance mode in the game turns off ray tracing technology and offers 4K resolution just like the 'ray tracing quality' mode. Although it makes a smart upgrade in this regard, it also allows you to play the game at 120 FPS. I have to say this in advance that the game, which is already fast to play, has been taken to a much different action level with 120 FPS. You feel the animations, combos and that intense action flowing like oil.
Finally, let's talk about the loading times. DMC 5 was a production that did not upset the players, if we do not count the first uploads in this regard. With the performance brought by SSD technology, loading times have been very shortened. This means that when you die or want to try different gameplay styles, you will never wait.
As a result, we can say that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition has been a good opportunity, especially for players who have not experienced the PS4 or Xbox One version. If you like the action genre with new technical features and Vergil and you have a new generation console, I wouldn't miss it. On the other hand, it offers a completely different experience with 120 FPS as well as memory freshness for players who have played before.
V's also Vergil, he's part of Vergil himself, as for Nero, he's Vergil son, my cousins n nephews r playing this game, we like it 'coz it's not just a good game but it has a story in it, a very good, interesting n a little twisted kind of story, might say, i'm a devil may cry fan somehow, lol
