ListNerds - Changing Online Marketing with Hive

7 27

I have been a user of ListNerds for just over 3 months now and as a tool to market your brand, blog, or product, it seems to be a no-brainer. I do not have a marketing background but understand the importance of marketing your business online which is what attracted me to ListNerds in the first place.

Let me take a step back there, the fact that ListNerds is a marketing tool built on Hive and is incorporated into the blockchain attracted me to ListNerds in the first place. Why is that important you might ask?

If we review the user experience of a traditional online marketing website versus ListNerds, it should become pretty clear.

We can see with the traditional online marketing experience you are brought to a website where you need to gather "views" (see Nr.1 on the picture above). You need to gather these views so that you can earn a few cents or cover the costs of your own adverts being run.

Each view needs to be a minimum of 15 seconds long and there is usually some tracking there to ensure you watch for a minimum amount of time. (see Nr.2 on the picture above). The type of adverts you see are like those highlighted above (see Nr.3).

Here the advertisers are trying to sell something. What exactly I'm not quite sure but it is obviously nonsense and a total waste of time. There is also the option to sign up with your personal details. Why you would do that here I am not sure as I don't know them and the advert looks sketchy with outlandish promises.

After many similar types of adverts, it becomes clear that you cannot wait to leave this website and do something more interesting. The adverts are of no interest and the products sold do not relate to you at all. There has also been no income or relationship building from using the website.

If we move over to ListNerds, the Blockchain Mailer, and look at the experience it is totally different.

First of all, we have a much nicer user interface. There is no timer counting us down until we have to leave. Instead, we see the view above with sometimes recognisable usernames that we would see on Hive (see Nr.1 above). This allows us to look through for users we may be interested to view and skip those we aren't.

Next (see Nr.2 above) we have the title. Here the person tries to get our attention with a catchy subject line. Perhaps you are interested in just Food, Cinema, Literature, or Gaming. You can choose the subjects that interest you here.

You can also scan (see Nr.3 above) how old the mail is and decide if it is something you want to look at or not.

Finally, you can (see Nr.4 above) there is an upvote/downvote option. This allows you once you have viewed the content to give it a rating and some impact on the person marketing on ListNerds.

Now let us look at the difference in content compared to a traditional online mailer. I picked one at random and opened it up:

Here the person is advertising their blog on Hive and a particular blog post about eating meat. If you are interested in food content and meat you can click further through and visit their Hive blog.

Once on their Hive blog, you can view their content. The person viewing can then decide to leave a comment and engage with the content provider or even give the article an upvote on Hive if it is less than 7 days old. This would then earn both a share of the Hive curation rewards pool.

If the reader resonates with the blog, they can also subscribe and follow them to view future articles outside of ListNerd.

Not only is the user experience better, but because ListNerds is built on Hive, there are benefits for both the person marketing and also the viewer. These include but are not limited to:

  • Earn Mail, CTP & ListNerds tokens

  • Gain Engagement

  • Grow Followers

  • Earn Hive Authorship/Curation rewards

  • Grow Brand/Recognition within the community

If you have any questions about ListNerds, leave them in the comments below. If you sign up with my link, leave a message to get some starting CTP tokens.

List nerds is actually good for earning online if you can sacrifice your time and energy

It does take some time and energy, but it compounds the returns after some time.

I have registered an account there but haven't tried using it yet.

How do you think a non-Hive user can promote their content on ListNerd?

There are also some users who are promoting content outside of Hive. You can link to any platform that you like. My recommendation would be to use Hive so that you can also earn extra crypto from upvotes from the community that is larger there.

I've been seeing this for a while now. It seems to be a pretty helpful app in growing your brand. Nice share, I might dabble on this one in the near future.

I can certainly recommend it. Earning crypto whilst growing your brand is a win/win.
