Hive-Engine Update - First Impressions
As a regular user of Hive-Engine for exchanging and managing my Hive tokens, I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the new Hive-Engine interface was updated. My first impressions were that it seems to look much slicker than before, is more responsive and runs faster than previously.
I also checked the Block Explorer which seemed to run quickly and was pleasing to the eye.
When claiming the rewards, it gave me a success message in the Hive Keychain, but I was not sure if they were successfully claimed or not. This would be a good improvement for the future. In the old version, if the blue circle bar turned, it was a good sign.
The new loading sign is good and shows us that something is happening.
I like the wallet overview screen, it looks nicer with the current layout but features-wise, I didn't notice any changes.
Something I noticed when selling or buying that seems to have been missed is that previously, you could select your total balance to buy or sell and also the best offer. Now your balance isn't selectable and there is no highest bid option selectable either? I hope this is just a temporary thing as we now need to type everything in manually and it's not always intuitive, especially for newbies like me.
I noticed that this is the same when trying to do a swap. Your balance is no longer selectable.
Overall it looks like a smart update and a big thanks to the developers.
The Hive-Engine will stay in my toolbox as a must-use tool for some simple swaps within the Hive community.
Thanks for reading.
