Niagra Falls

Niagra Falls is located on the Niagara River in North America. Niagara Falls consists of three different waterfalls located side by side. These three waterfalls are named: Horseshoe Falls or Canada Falls, American Falls and Bridal Will Falls. Niagara Falls is located on the border of the United States and Canada. Horseshoe Falls are shaped like horseshoes. It is an attractive place for tourists due to its natural beauty.

Tourists began arriving at Niagara Falls in the 18th century. In March 1846, Niagara Falls was closed due to snow, and no water fell for 40 hours. As a result, the wheels of hydropower plants were shut down, and many factories were shut down due to lack of electricity.

In America, the waterfall can be seen from behind. Horseshoe Falls is about 183 feet (53 m) high and 2,600 feet (692 m) wide. American Falls is 60 feet (21 m) long and 1800 feet (323 m) wide. In late spring or early summer, 202,000 cubic meters of water falls from the waterfalls per second. At night and during the winter in the off-season, the water is controlled and brought down to 50,000 cubic feet per second. Water flow was regulated by the 1950 Niagara Agreement.
