What kind of logical mindset is that?

We shouldn't belittle other people's jobs just because we had a more decent one unlike theirs. Instead of comparing and looking down on them let's just be thankful for we are blessed to have the job we dreamed of and achieved through hard work.
I feel sorry for my sister's colleague not because she was bullied or judged but because she belittled my sister's point of view and her history of applying for a job in a fast-food chain while waiting for the result of her application to the company she's applying at(the current company she's working).
"I'm working my a$$ just to not get that kind of job(fast-food chain jobs)"
In my mind, I was like "eh? what's so wrong with those jobs? their decent jobs for Pete's sake so how can she say something like that? "
During my college days, even though I attained scholarships I also tried working in a fast-food chain just to test if I can do it since most of my classmates are doing part-time and the situation sits for me since my schedule is in the evening. Working in fast-food restaurants was never easy especially if you're in the cleaning and service crew. You need to clean the table when the customers are finished. You also need to clean those high glasses from the ceiling to the floor and mop the floors before opening and after closing. When you're assigned to the cashier you also need to double time in serving especially if the customer's line is very long. I managed to do it but it only lasted four months since the pile of school projects is too much to take the time that I had to give up my part-time job.
And my family own an eatery ever since I was in grade school and our house is just in front of the school so most of the students and even my classmates are regulars in the eatery. It's not an easy job as you have to wake up early in the morning to go the market to buy fresh ingredients and then when you get home you also need to prepare all those stuff so the cook(Papz) will not be burdened in preparing and just cook it quickly. You also need to make lots of ice water packs since Vendo machines we're not that known before. During lunchtime, I and my sisters need to rush to the store to help mom and assist her in attending to the students who went to eat. And then we take turns in doing the dishes or cooking some orders since some students want to have noodles or canned goods. We also experienced eating our lunch while cooking some orders so we ate while standing. It was tiresome but also fun since I and my sisters were enjoying the work together.
So her coworker belittling such kinds of jobs, who is she to judge? she's just lucky she got her dream job but how about those who never make it? should she be saying that? I am saying that she should be thankful for she was blessed with the job she had.
I am proud that I experienced those jobs before I get to my dream job and if I would be asked if I want to experience those again I would do it but since I still have a job so I'll be sticking it for now. The world is turning so we can never tell what will happen tomorrow or in the next years to come.
That's why I said I pity her for she didn't get to experience those, she didn't experience the happiness I felt whenever I made the job done or when we were praised by our employer for being hardworking, or even Mum baked us for she's said she's lucky to have a helping hand.
Just sharing my opinion and rant over that topic with my sister. Everyone has it choice of job and doing all the means just to have that but we shouldn't judge a person for having that kind of job. Respect, that's all.
Thank you for reading!
Be blessed and be a blessing!
