A childhood lost: a pathetic story of young girl

She was a poor girl of a small town with beautiful dreams in her eyes

 

Farzana a 17-year-old girl

 

Farzana is a short and weak girl. She has a beautiful smile on her face that masks the burden of responsibilities carrying from her toddler age. If you can not help her then notice her big dreams.

She was sent to a house of her aunty and uncle for the work at the age of 6 years. Here she had to learnt housework and tacking care of small children just for 600 rupees.

Farzana who was aspired for the better education, now she had to work in a small house of a big city called Karachi as a maid.

Her dream was to make some thing out of herself but like many poor children of Pakistan, she also had to face the harsh challenges of poverty. In her case parents are also not in favour of girl’s education.

Unfortunately, she belonged to a town where parents of younger children must send them for some work so that they can prevent their families from breaking down.

Farzana says; ‘she just needs the love of her parents’ and this was the sole reason which forced her to work as maid. The true spirit of her parent’s love made to fight against every toil.

The children like Farzana sacrifices their precious lives to prevent their families from letting down.

Each day she had to please her aunt and every month to her parents.

Farzana is not the only girl who is facing this persuasive abuse a lot of other girls are also suffering from it. Farzana s younger sister is also entrapped in the brutal cycle. This brutal abuse is engulfing their lives.

Farzana basically belongs to jampur which a town of district Rajanpur. This town is notorious for the child labour and deaths of innocent’s people.

 

 

 

A lot of the people move to Karachi for the better earning opportunities, but they must face a lot of difficulties.

Farzana was suffering due to the inequality and dysfunction of her parents.

She was harassed by her aunty to marry her son by she remained unshackled. She says,” I will marry to my fiancé and have beautiful children with him. They do not work. They will go to school” she reassures herself.

Every day from her she saves 30 minutes for the learning Urdu and English languages. Now she can introduce herself in English and she speaks Urdu fluently.

Despite of a very few opportunities she is always ready for the anticipation in every change.

She is aware about the importance of time so she is training and teaching herself so that she can prepare herself for the future hurdles.

Farzana remember the beautiful time which she had spent with her parents. She remembers her mother with a hope of one day her mother will come and take her away from these hardships.

Farzana sleeps under a dripping roof with six other children. She turns off the dim lights and reassures for the next day.

 “You are not meant for this. You are different from others.”
