Eid mubarak is a traditional Muslim greeting reversed for use on the festival of Eid ul-Adha and Eid ul-Fitr. Eid means ''feast '' and refer to the occasion itself, and Mubarak means "blessed ".

Muslim wish each other Eid mubarak after performing the Eid prayer .The celebration continues until the end of the day for Eid ul-Fitr and continue a further three days for Eid ul-Adha.
However in the social sense people usually celebrate Eid ul-Fitr at the same as Eid ul-Adha , visiting and exchanging greeting such as " Eid mubarak " .This exchange of greeting is a cultural traditions and not a part of any religious obligation.
