How to know the real location (Internet IP location) of anyone online.
You will need a few online tools to help you out, an IP address Grabber, a link shortener, and any online landing page, for this tutorial we will be using Grabify for IP capture, Bit.ly for the URL shortener and Amazon for the random landing page.
1-First open grabify.link and sign up (create an account) for free
2- Then visit any website to get your link for landing page, I will be using Amazon for this tutorial as it will help the trick I want to use to avoid the suspicion of the person I want to get their internet location and get them to click on it.
3- Now open Amazon.com and search for any item , maybe a phone or something, then copy the product url page
4- Now go back to Grabify and click create link, then paste the url you copied from the site, this will create a link which you will be able to send to the person, copy the link but do not send the link in this way you need to hide it further
5- Now we need to hide the Grabify link with a URL shortening, for this tutorial I will be using bit.ly, note that you can use any url shortener you want
6- Now visit bit.ly and create an account, then log in and click create link, paste the grabify link in the space provided and created.
7- Now copy the link from bit.ly and send it to the person you want to acquire their real IP location, to know their real internet location, like I said earlier, I copied a product from Amazon to help trick the person by clicking on the link, here is where I will apply it.
"Hello, please I want to buy this phone (product) from Amazon but the price is somehow fishy, please help me to check if this product is original or if the price is actually the real price"

(Don't open the link... Or I might get your location. Just kidding. 😄 No url imbedded in the link)
You can use any comment you want, depending on which landing page you used, and get the person to open the link
Important Lesson; This is exactly why you should never open any link with url shortener sent to you such as cutt.ly, gg.gg, adf.ly, soo.gd. it might contains Ip grabber or worse. But if you have to use the link make sure you use any URL expander to make sure there is nothing imbedded in the link.
8- Now there's a good chance the person will click on the link I sent them and its internet location will be captured immediately as he does
9- Now all you have to do is open and log into your grabify account and check the result.
10- Click on the links in the grabify menu option, click on the link created earlier and view the results, the marked results are those created by the link shortener, while the one tagged with a browser like Mozilla are the top clicks.
11- Now click on it to view full details. and the browser used, the ISP showed MTN, the country showed Nigeria and there is no indication of use of VPN.
12- In the screenshots below the person's country is still displayed, but Did you notice anything different? this particular person is using a VPN to hide the actual location, if you check the screenshot below you will see the timezone says Africa / Lagos, while the country says Germany and the ISP (the network used by the person) shows OVH, these three contradictory details make it clear that the person is somewhere in Nigeria but is using a VPN to change location in Germany, grabify also a indicated that the person may be using a VPN.
Also looking at the ISP section, it shows OVH which is a virtual server provided, not a network in Germany, known networks in UK, Germany, USA, etc. include O2, At&T, Ortel, etc.
This is how you can track and identify anyone's real internet location online.
Hope you learned something new today.
