Discouraged by months of fleeing from Saul, in order to save the living head, David fled to the Philistines, to the enemies of his people. He was even forced to fight against the homeland! thanks to God, the Philistine leaders feared that David would change sides in the midst of the battle, so they left him and his soldiers out of the plan, returning to where he was, David found himself in desperate circumstances, his village was plundered and burned. his men brave warriors broke down in pain and told him that he was responsible for this catastrophe .they also wanted to stone him what to do now? he felt abandoned knowing that it was Saul's fault that he was persecuted, the Philistines rejected him, his soldiers threatened him and he was left without a family and without property. but his reaction is wonderful: but David was encouraged in the Lord his God (verse 6) .he humbly asked God to show him how to react and God gave him a wonderful deliverance, what an example for Christians if we are overcome by discouragement, if it grows because we are aware of our sins: if we feel lonely- God's grace is always there for us .let's talk to him! and he will hear us will help us and defend us .no sin is too great to turn us away from prayer and confession .no burden is too heavy for him not to be able to bear it.that God will help us maybe not as we imagined but will help wisely and with love
