Many Asian countries use unusual methods to preserve the health of their children.

These methods, which are applied in Asian countries, can be easily applied at home to preserve the health of children:

1. Prevent them from reading from close range  In China, there are special rod holders that prevent children from getting too close to the book and thus reading from a safe distance. These bars / holders significantly improve posture when seated.

2. Exercise for the eyes  In mainland China, elementary and high school students are referred to eye exercises aimed at improving blood circulation and eye muscle relaxation. Exercises consist of 6 sessions that involve rubbing the eye area, usually done twice a day.

3. Exams are taken outside Most written exams are done outside. This practice has two benefits: it prevents cheating, because students are very far away from each other when sitting, and not to talk about the health benefits. Sun and fresh air further reduce stress due to exams.

4. Children wear surgical masks all the time In Japan, the basic culture is that a person who has a virus or is allergic to pollen, dust, etc.  wears a mask in public. This prevents the virus from spreading around and reduces the possibility of infecting others around you.

5. Live classes If the weather is unstable, the lessons are transferred online. From the comfort of their home, the children watch the lesson live, while being maximally protected from floods, fires, snow and other incidents.

 6. Small portions, healthy food In Japan, schools serve small-scale meals to students, mainly with a range of items such as rice, vegetables and meat. There is no main meal, as Americans do. In Japan, everything is focused on local production, and so is food from local markets.

7. Prices of outdoor activities Camping and any type of outdoor activity is desirable. Asian countries believe that children and adults need to be as outdoors as possible in order to improve mental health.

8. Walking is desirable Children walk to school more than using public transportation. More and more Asians are installing a step meter to walk, ie. hiked as much as possible. It’s the only form of recreation and people make the most of it.

9. Fighting internet addiction is important Children are regularly monitored to prevent internet and game addiction. Children under the age of 16 are prevented from going online after midnight by government law.

 10. Children have responsibilities In Japan, children are expected to have obligations and to fulfill these obligations regularly and well. It teaches them to take care of themselves.
