After Telekom Slovenije was the first in Slovenia to take the next step in the development of mobile technology, the 5G network is available to users as of today, the newspaper Delo reported.
Telekom Slovenija has established a national network of the fifth mobile generation on the frequency spectrum of 2600 MHz, which it also uses for the network of the fourth mobile generation, writes Investitor.
The biggest difference that the first users of Telekom's 5G mobile network will notice will be higher data transfer speed and better response.
The offer of telecommunication packages will be followed by an offer adapted to the purpose. Telekom Slovenije said that areas such as energy, transport, logistics, industry, smart cities, health, protection and rescue (public safety) and others are the most promising for 5G network technologies and the implementation of advanced communications.
In the first step, the largest domestic telecommunications operator has already upgraded more than two hundred base stations with a 5G signal, and by the end of the year, it is expected that 33% of the population of Slovenia will be able to use the 5G signal.
