Global warming is real
The last decade has been the warmest since air temperatures were measured, scientists have confirmed. The report, which warns of the consequences of global warming, was made by 520 scientists from 60 countries, and it shows that every decade since 1980 has been warmer than the previous one, writes the British Guardian. The warmest period is from 2010 to 2019, and the temperature rose significantly from 2014 to 2019, when records were also set.

The Covid-19 pandemic may have given the environment a little reprieve. There was a decline in the level of emissions as most people were staying at home, there were fewer cars on the roads and factories were shut down. But as life gradually returns to normal and economies reopen the level of emissions will surely rise again. Let us do what we can as individuals to reduce our respective carbon prints to help save the planet and indeed humanity. As they say we are in this together.
