Had a quick catch-up with a lovely church friend at a dessert shop called Q Ice Cream Gula Apong last Friday. Gula Apong is a type of sugar that comes from the nipa palm tree, which grows abundantly in West Malaysia. It has a unique fragrance on top of the sweetness. I added peanuts and mini coco crunch as the toppings. It was expectedly sweet hahaha. But nice try! At least I know how Gula Apong tastes like now 😄. Had a wonderful time in this quiet and cosy cafe. Always grateful to have friends who celebrate and support me through the highs and lows. :)
