Had Walnut Monsieur @ Walnut Cafe for tea time today. Walnut Monsieur is a toasted sandwich with pineapple slices, turkey ham, cheddar cheese, fried egg, and kewpie mayo. Very interesting combination! It's my first time eating a sandwich with pineapple slices. Sweet savoury combo. It is also served with french fries and coleslaw as sides. Was curious about the meaning of the dish name "Monsieur". Hence, I googled and found out that the dish name is adapted from the French term "Croque Monsieur", which means a hot sandwich made with ham and cheese. It originated in French cafés and bars as a quick snack. This cafe has successfully added a creative twist to it. Yums! 😋 #foodphotography
