The article that I am writing is based on a true story of my friend named Denver. He shared his story to me and I think we can get a lesson in life from his true to life story. And his story started because of covid 19.

What is covid 19?

Covid 19 is a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus. 'CO' stands for corona and 'VI' for virus and 'D' for disease. '19' got from 2019 when the coronavirus discovered. It is the disease that can be transmitted and cannot be seen by our naked eyes. Most people who fall sick with covid 19 will experience mild to moderate sypmtom, some will recovered but some will lose the battle and die. And because of that virus the pandemic happens.

What is pandemic?

A pandemic is a disease outbreak that spreads across countries, continents and in the whole earth. It affects more people and takes more lives than an epidemic.

Because of this pandemic Denver life started to change. And let me tell you this.

Denver Story

Denver is a simple guy who have many plans in his life. Not only in his own life but also for his family. He is the eldest son thats why he is working hard to achieve his dreams. He help his parents in terms of financial needs. That time he is working in a one well known company here in the Philippines. He is working as a contractual employee which means 1 year contract and recontract again if you have a good record on the company, and thats the situation when you are hired through agency and not direct hired.

Denver working very hard, according to him "dugo at pawis ang puhunan nya" until he reached 3 years working in that company. He wanted to be a regular employee so that he will get more benefits and ofcourse higher salary. He did his best to work hard as he can and trying to impressed the head of the company to get a very good evaluation to be a regular employee.

One day he is very happy because he heard a news that the agency forwarded his papers to the main office of the company. It means one signature only and he will be a regular employee. If that happen all his dream will surely achieve. He planned to buy a new house for his parents. He has planned also for his self. Because he is sure that he will be a regular employee, he is going to work and go home happy even there is a time that he feel tired. At that time there was news that the virus had entered the Philippines but industries are not yet affected. So he still working like the other day.

Then until one day he heard a news that virus are spreading all over the Philippines. The President ordered a lockdown to all places that have a most number of cases and one of this places is Metro Manila where Denver is currently working. He is still working but they need to be alternate to avoid crowded in the company. After one month the government ordered to have a total lockdown. All companies and establishment are forcely closed. At the first month of total lockdown it is not hard to Denver and his family because he save some money when he is working. He still can buy their daily needs and pay their bills from his savings. But day passed by, he was afraid that his savings will not be enough if the lockdown will last longer. And his worries starts.

One morning he unexpectedly receive a phone call. It is from the employment agency that hired him before. The lady that call him said that the company need to lay off some employees because the agency and company were affected too much by the pandemic. And one of the solutions they see is to get rid some of the employee and Denver is one of them. After hearing that bad news Denver feels like his world crashed, his plans and dream in life are gone. His only hope are the agencies promise that they will help.

Denver went to his room and silently cried. He was thinking what will happen to them, all his plans for his family suddenly disappeared. In one snap his life change and that is because of a phone call.

A phone call that break his heart and his dreams.

I need to cut this story guys because its too long but in my next one lets see and witness how Denver and his family cope up in the situation. I hope you will wait for that.
