IPL-PSL Schedule Clash in 2025

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is usually held at the beginning of the year. IPL is held between March and May. But in 2025, these two franchises can be seen on the field at the same time in the T20 league. The reason for this is mainly because of Pakistan Cricket's busy schedule in 2024-25 season.

For the first time since the 1996 World Cup, an ICC tournament will be held in Pakistan. No ICC tournament was held in Pakistan in the previous three Future Tour Schedules (FTP) due to security concerns. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to successfully organize the Champions Trophy by getting that opportunity in this year's FTP. So the PCB has no choice but to scrap the PSL tournament earlier in the year.
