The Spirit Hoarder is a legendary monster from the Neutral unit, with an estimated cost of $16.794. At level 2, it has one magic attack, one speed, and three health, along with the Triage ability to heal the friendly backline monster that has taken the most damage and the Dispel ability to clear positive status effects on enemies. As an RPG archetype, it is a powerful Medic, excelling in regeneration and curing status effects while debuffing enemies and buffing the team. The Spirit Hoarder's appearance is almost dryad-like, with a deep green body and aqua-blue tributaries converging into jagged dorsal vertebrae along its back. It is a terrifying creature, stalking the land with a complete lack of emotion.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
We all know that the Water units have always been blessed with some OP magic monsters from the older edition sets, so it's great to see that with the Chaos Legion edition set, the Earth unit has become spoilt with choice when it comes to magic monsters. Paired with the Earth summoner, which bolsters magic damage, it opens the door to having a fantastic magic damage combination in the Earth unit battles. And that's pretty much the strategy for this battle. Yes, granted, I was up against an opponent with a similar rating but inferior monsters in terms of level. I set up Pelacor Mercenary to serve as the meat shield while allowing the backline monsters of pure magic damage to do their thing. Even though Spirit Hoarder couldn't use its abilities (the biggest drawcard to using Spirit Hoarder) due to the ruleset, it could chip in with support damage and land a few critical blows.
Do you like the Spirit Hoarder? Why or why not?
Spirit Hoarder is pricey considering on the surface for what you are getting – low speed and low magic damage, but its abilities fit into the magic healer RPG archetype. Looking for alternatives, it's the only monster with Triage and Dispel abilities combination. If you are looking for magic monsters with Triage ability, then I'm afraid you will need to be ready to pay. The only other magic monster at a lower level with Triage ability is Mermaid Healer, who is a bit more expensive and only starts doing magic damage from level three onwards. It is an excellent addition to your deck and can be deployed in many battles due to being from the Neutral unit.
