This week’s battle challenge focuses on the Silent Sha-VI.

Card Details

A Chaos Legion common level monster from the Death unit at level 1:

  • Estimated cost: $0.167

  • Melee attack: 2

  • Speed: 3

  • Health: 5

  • Sneak ability: Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.

The weekly battles focus on the new Chaos Legion cards, and this week it focuses on the Silent Sha-VI. In all facets of gaming, the serpents are ever-present as the dangerous villainous character trope lurking in the shadows to inflict damage upon its prey through poison or constriction. Therefore it's good to see the Silent Sha-VI has some of those dangerous and valuable traits that many new users to splinterlands will find helpful. Stats-wise, it has decent damage and speed, good enough health to add to its survivability, and most importantly, it's Sneak ability to inflict melee damage from the backline.

Battle - Full Battle Replay

Battle Details

  • Mana cap: 16

  • Rulesets(s): Standard

Lineup Details

  • Thaddius Brood: -1 magic damage and -1 health to all opposition monsters.

  • Bone Golem: primary melee tank with Void ability to offset magic damage, decent health, and armor.

  • Silent Sha-VI: primary melee damage from the backline due to Sneak ability.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

No frills, no fuss battle for my alt account. Playing battles in the lower leagues with no ruleset modifications allows game strategies to focus on core basic strategies - armor for survivability, inflict enough damage, and speed to ensure hits land often. Contrary to my opponent, who went in with range and magic damage focus, I went for an entire melee damage strategy. Bone Golem would be the focus of the opposition as it had armor and health to absorb hits from the opponent, which allowed Silent Sha-VI to inflict damage from the backline with its Sneak ability. Silent Sha-VI gallantly ripped through the opposition with a decent combo of melee damage and speed, not taking one hit in the process. A special mention should be made to Thaddius Brood, whose debuffs provided that advantage that allowed the Bone Golem and Silent Sha-VI to thrive in battle and secure a victory.

Do you like the Silent Sha-VI? Why or why not?

Sneak ability monsters are plentiful and abound in splinterlands at different prices. If you are specifically looking for a Death unit Sneak ability monster, then Silent Sha-VI is the cheapest of the lot at almost a 5th of the price of one Undead Badger and a 10th of the cost of one Skeleton Assassin. This is a card I will be looking to acquire and level it across my main and alt accounts.
