This week's town hall was a little subdued, but it was still valuable to gain some information about the forthcoming Land 1.5 release. While there was no concrete date provided for the 1.5 release, there was a very useful checklist provided for the release. Having gone through the guide there are some of the key takeaways I took from the guide:

• DEC is essential to work the lands. Also, DEC can be staked and unstaked at no cost. Unstaked DEC becomes available instantly.

• Power cores are necessary to power workers which require staked DEC and are non-transferable. Runi eliminates the need for DEC on a Land plot.

• Only owned cards can be staked to Land plots.

• Staked cards automatically lock; you can adjust the unlock time.

• When staking cards on Land plots – consider terrain preferences and production boosts.

• The production strategy affects those with multiple accounts and multiple Land plots so not necessarily applicable to me as I only have two Land plots that are on my main account.

• Time Crystals speed up construction.

• Workers (staked monsters) need grain during harvesting. You earn 90% of the produced resources, while taxes are captured by the castle and owners. Grain is essential for various tasks.

• No storage buildings in the Land 1.5 release. Resources stop accumulating after 7 days without a harvest.

So, a lot to digest and I highly recommend you read through the pre-flight checklist if you are interested in playing Land 1.5 when it's released. Also, another thing to note I have now published 300 posts over the past three years dedicated to splinterlands – let's hope I can make it to the next big milestone, 500 posts!

Runi Budget

This past week I added 12k DEC and a couple of Vouchers but that only translates to an additional $5 being added to the fund. Unfortunately, the price of DEC continues to feel the pressure of the overall crypto bear market and it has fallen further away from its 1000 DEC to $1 peg with the price hovering around $ 0.772 per 1000 DEC. On the positive side, we are seeing the supply of DEC continue to decrease and we assume that once the Land 1.5 release is released, this will suck up and burn more DEC which may contribute to its rise towards its $1 peg.

Nonetheless, I will continue to track the budget using DEC current price instead of its intended peg price. Still, a far way to go to getting a Runi but progress is being made nonetheless I think the next update will be a nice increase to the budget as it is another season end in splinterlands as well as a month-end and I like to do a monthly clean-up and divert all crypto earnings towards the active challenge I am pursuing.

Runi Market

The Runi market has remained relatively stable even during the crypto bear market which continues to affect the overall NFT market. The floor price of the Runi has decreased only slightly to 0.411 ETH ($707.66) but it's up in dollar terms due to the ETH/USD pair increasing by 5% in the past week.

Transactions history for the past week also increased slightly with five sales occurring. Sales all fluctuated between 0.38 ETH ($677.26) to 0.42 ETH ($692.00). Still unsure as to what amount to target for the fund, but will work towards $600 or at least 0.35 ETH before I decide to negotiate with people.

Nonetheless, the Runi sales numbers are small in comparison to the bigger collections on Opensea, however, it's good that there is still some liquidity and volume. Maybe as Land 1.5 is released and people start to play the Land aspects we may see an uptick in Runi sales.
