As we approach the end of August, excitement continues to build for the Land 1.5 release in splinterlands. This week the splinterlands dev team hosted another town square. The town square event provided us with insights into what we can expect from the anticipated Land 1.5 release. During this event discussions revolved around aspects of game development shedding light on challenges related to quality assurance, gameplay bugs, and the intricate process of code synchronization. The team also gave tantalizing hints about developments like boss monster fights, which left us eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.

In an industry known for its unpredictability, it's refreshing to see how dedicated the splinterlands dev team is when it comes to fostering communication, transparency, and engaging the community. Despite the disappointments or setbacks they may face, their willingness to share both their successes and challenges speaks volumes about their commitment to creating a premium Web3 game experience.

Runi Fund

Now turning our attention to the aspect there is a focus on the Runi budget. The primary goal here is to accumulate DEC by converting most of splinterlands earnings and earnings from crypto blogging. It's worth noting that SPS tokens are not included in the Runi fund tracker anymore as I have decided that SPS would be better served being staked to my main and alt accounts. With all that said, I have accumulated $141.96 so far which is about 20% of the way towards a Runi based on market estimations.

In preparation for these weekly update posts I do a few things – check CryptoSlam, check Google search results for the past week to see if there are any websites, articles, or new sites that are talking about splinterlands Runi and also look at the transaction sales history on Opensea for Runi. As expected, there has been some volatility which has influenced changes in Runis price. Last week the cheapest Runi was valued at 0.412 ETH or $738.53. This week, the same Runi has decreased to $685.93 in USD dollars terms with the ETH price being the same. Last week there was one Runi listed at the floor price, whereas this week there are five Runis listed at the floor price. Also, we saw a decrease in market activity with only four transactions taking place for Runi with the price range from $679.47 to $739.02. So the spread between the sales is much smaller than the previous week.
