This week's battle challenge focuses on the Naga Brute:
The hybrid species known as Naga has evolved in many different directions in the last thousand years. The water Naga of ΛZMΛRÉ can breathe both water and air, but they are the smallest Naga in the Splinterlands. The Naga of the Burning Lands are a brutal and superstitious people who have bred with the native Serpentines for hundreds of years, many of whom are gifted with magical powers. The Dragon Splinter of Draykh-Nahka is still the Naga stronghold of the Splinterlands. The largest and most powerful Naga are always born there. Some say it is because of the climate and others say it is the result of gradual breeding with Dragons. Since the seizure of power by Empress Suam Khepri (who is a Naga herself), Naga have been multiplying at an even greater rate in the Dragon Splinter. Many of them are threatening and pushy, as if they have had some secret glimpse of a future that is Naga-controlled.
Although they are strong, fearsome and intimidating, Naga Brutes live by a strange code of politeness that has kept a delicate (and lucky) peace between them and the Dragonfolk with whom they live side by side in Centrum. They never attack unless attacked first. But if you attack one, be prepared for the consequences.
Card
A Dice common level monster from the Dragon Splinter at level 1:
Estimated costs: $0.107
No Attack
Speed: 1
Health: 4
Armor: 7
Void Armor ability: Magic attacks hits this Monster's armor before its health
This is a monster card I didn't have, and for the weekly challenge, I bought a level 1 card and sent it to my alt account as my alt account plays in a lower league and therefore would be able to utilize this card. It's one of the more expensive no attack cards, and I would've needed to spend $6.5 to get it to a state of usefulness for my main account. But I can see why this card is so expensive. It has high armor and void armor ability, which means any attacks it receives will deplete its armor before its health.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes it worked out very well. It was also helped by that my opponent had no monsters with armor! My primary strategy going into equalizers battles is to have the opponent supply the health. Also, my secondary strategy was to utilize the Naga Brute to protect my backline range and magic monsters. Finally, my third strategy was to have the Black Dragon utilize its Life Leech and bolsters its already high health (due to equalizer).
Do you like the Naga Brute? Why or why not?
The Naga Brute was amazing in this battle, and it shows how potent it can be when it has high levels of health and armor. It can absorb so much damage and help protect the monsters who do serious damage but have low health. I can admit that before the weekly battle challenge, I wouldn't have even considered it a card to utilize, but man, oh man, I can only see the amazing potential of this card once you unlock the Thorns ability. Will Naga Brute ever unlodge the king of no attacks, aka Lord Arianthus? No, but it's up there as a card to utilize as an alternative.
