Armored Up Weekly Battle Challenge | Splinterlands #255
This week’s battle challenge focuses on the Armored Up Ruleset.
Ruleset Details
The Armored Up ruleset in Splinterlands provides all monsters with +2 Armor, making them more resistant to attacks that deal melee and range damage. The armor provided by this ruleset is crucial when building a team since it can reduce the damage a monster takes from melee and range attacks. However, monsters with high magic damage or Piercing abilities are particularly effective against this ruleset. Repair abilities also gain new dimensions of strategy, as they can now be used on monsters that do not typically have armor, adding versatility to the gameplay. In addition, Shield and Piercing abilities become more critical in this ruleset as they can bypass the additional armor.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Having a combination of Equalizer and Armored Up Rulesets will always be a battle of who can outlast each other. On the balance of play, I made the mistake but not including more magic monsters. That was a critical, pivotal mistake as the magic monster I chose didn’t hit as hard as the magic monster my opposition went for. This battle also went on for ages, lasting seven rounds, and that is to be expected when you have all monsters with high health and increased armor, which naturally increases their survivability. Not much to complain about here – a more skilled opponent defeated me.
Do you like the Armored Up ruleset? Why or why not?
The Armored Up ruleset in Splinterlands can be a fun, and exciting addition to the game since it adds an extra layer of strategy and forces players to consider different tactics when building their teams. The armor provided by this ruleset can make it more challenging to defeat opponents, particularly if they have solid defensive monsters with Repair abilities. On the other hand, some players may find the ruleset frustrating since it can make battles last longer and reduce the effectiveness of melee and range attacks. Whether or not a player enjoys the Armored Up ruleset largely depends on their playstyle and approach to the game.
