In the previous post, I looked at how splinterlands perform on the WAX blockchain since the bridge has gone live in Mid February 2021. In this post, I would like to look at the specific monster and summoner cards on the WAX blockchain marketplace and compare it to their Hive counterparts and see how a new starter can benefit from purchasing on the WAX blockchain.
The categories that I will be exploring are three main categories, namely:
Rare Summoner Cards
Neutral Monster Legendary Cards
Legendary Summoner Cards
Round 1 - Rare Summoner Cards
The first category I would like to explore is the Rare Summoners Cards. Most cards on AtomicHub are 50% or more expensive than the MonsterMarket marketplace. Round 1 goes to Hive.
Round 2 - Neutral Monster Legendary Cards
The second category we are exploring is Neutral Legendary Monsters. I was surprised to see that 2 Neutral Legendary Monsters were cheaper on AtomicHub than the MonsterMarket marketplace. The prices are still costly overall on AtomicHub, so Round 2 goes again to Hive.
Round 3 - Legendary Summoner Cards
The final category is the Legendary Summoner Cards. The majority of the Legendary Summoners are very overpriced on AtomicHub. Another win for Hive.
Are there any deals on AtomicHub for splinterlands cards?
Sometimes, but it requires patience and being able to navigate through the AtomicHub marketplace. I couldn't find many deals apart from this one.
Also, it may be worth exploring the Auction Tab as you can bid on cards.
Summary
AtomicHub prices are seriously overpriced, and the shocking realization I had is that these inflated cards are selling. Also, the UI experience on the AtomicHub marketplace is cumbersome in comparison to the Hive marketplaces. If you are a seller, then there are ample opportunities to exploit on AtomicHub, but I would stick to Hive marketplaces for new players.
I recently did a compilation post titled, The New Players Guide to Splinterlands: A Collection of Articles and Guides.
