• Vaccinate pet cats against common diseases they can get (we will be cheaper here than waiting for them to get sick before we give them a vaccine) PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
• Clean the food or drink of our pets, the bacteria that cause the disease are left in dirty food containers.
• Give clean cats drinking water every day or as long as they need it, they drink more often in hot weather. Cats can be mixed with dextrose powder for cats to strengthen their resistance and hydrate them properly (can be bought at a pet shop for only 60 pesos a bottle).
• Avoid feeding them with SWEET or BROKEN food.
• Avoid feeding them gills or intestines of raw fish where they can get bacteria and parasites.
• Practice feeding your pet vegetables and meat (just half cooked and stewed in water) Avoid training to feed them only Cat food (dry / wet cat food) it is economical and nutritious for your pets and our pockets . Stewed meat or vegetables can be mixed with softened dry cat food.
• If possible do not let pets out or let them out of the house, they can fight with other cats, be beaten by neighbors, be run over or stolen by other people.
• If you have the ability, SPAY/NEUTER the pet cats to prevent them from multiplying. It is also good for their health. SPAY/NEUTER is able to fertilize cats. They can also be avoided wandering outside, especially with male cats looking for a mate.
• When we take care of a cat, put an Emergency fund to be used in case our pet is sick (for vet check-ups, drug purchase and for confinement) atleast 3000 pesos depending on your income. So that in case they get sick we can treat them right away.
• DO NOT EXPECT HOME REMEDIES FOR CAT DISEASES, they are not like us people, think some house remedies CAN MAKE their disease worse, so it is better to have them checked up immediately at the Veterinarian if they see :
Severe Diarrhea and Vomiting with Worms.
Breaking Bone.
Bleyful blood or blood come out of the property.•
Red eye, exessive blowing.
There are lumps or tumor.
Sudden weakness and loss.
These signs and symptoms have no home remedy and need immediate medical medicine such as antibiotics and symptoms for hydration.
