Without going into much details, I’ll say love is complicated. Now what is love???
, love is a mix of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth, and respect for another person. I am so sure everyone has their various definitions for love. For me, love is a very special kind of feeling that makes us do what we ordinarily wouldn’t do. That is why I call it a compelling force. I’ll give a story to further buttress my point.
When I was a child, I always spent my Christmas holiday in my home town alongside other members of my family. During one of the holidays while playing and running around, I got pierced on my knee by a nail that was carelessly driven into a door. The injury was quite deep and it bled so much. I cried bitterly because of the pain I was feeling. My elder sister somehow felt the pain was excruciating hence, she started crying with me. Out of the love she had for me at that point, she felt beating the nail for causing her sister so much pain was the best thing to do…so she hit the nail with her palm (lol) and got wounded as well. Many people may think that’s the most stupid thing to do but trust me, that’s just a child expressing love in her own way.
My point here is that love can make you cause yourself pain just to prove to the other person that you love him or her. So, when you see people doing strange things in the name of love, you don’t always have to blame them. it is as a result of the compelling force of love!!!
