Russian-made coronary vaccine Sputnik 5 has been launched for public use. The first batch of the vaccine has been made available to the general public because it is capable of producing antibodies and is safe in the human body, according to Russia's Gamelia National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology and the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

Russia's health ministry, meanwhile, said it was planning to distribute the vaccine in the future.
