Hello again, it’s me Macchiato!
If this is the first post of mine you’re seeing, hello and welcome: this is entry number 2 of my digital art journey~
So, remember how I said friends were encouraging me to post my art online? Well, here’s one friend of mine who has been there with me for about 10 years of my life now.
Here’s a picture I drew of her in 2016.
I made this around the same year I made my first self portrait, I showed my self-portrait to her and she thought it was cool how I can draw on a phone now.
She asked me to draw her picture and being the newbie that I was at the time, I sent her that photo. I always thought that I was mediocre but, She loved it 🥺. (My motivation went through the roof because of this person.)
Some more years have passed and we’re now in the year 2019. There were days that we wouldn’t be able to talk but kept in touch from time to time, I told her that I’ve gotten a bit more used to drawing digitally and offered to draw her once more. Here’s the result:
Yep, still no face..
But being the supportive friend she is, she said it looked better than my first portrait of her~
And finally... on August 2020
Her latest portrait in black and white, (still got to work on my shading).
Okay, to conclude this short story of drawing my best friend through out the years; I’m grateful for having a person like this to motivate me and support me with my art. Having someone that just cheers you on helped me build my confidence to actually post my art online, and now share my stories with you all~
She has been there for me through my worst days and my best days. I wouldn’t have gotten this far without her. (Support your friends!)
And of course thank you for reading this short story, I kept it as concise as I could. I Hope you liked it! If you have questions or suggestions I’ll address them in my next blog post.
Have a lovely day, week, month, and decade. ☕️
