Why is the process of weight loss long?
You can lose weight quickly (starving yourself and working out at the same time) but it would be very unhealthy. You would indeed lose fat but also burn some muscle and you could also get sick and misserable.
Losing weight the healthy way takes time (around 1.5lbs a week is ideal). It’s basically calories in (what you eat) vs calories out (calories burned throughout the day), but you first need to know your bodies caloric maintenance (amount of calories you can consume without gaining or losing weight). A deficit of around 300 calories a day is healthy, don’t starve yourself.
Remember, you have all the time in the world, you don’t need to rush your weight loss. Just constantly take note of your progress. If you’re still not losing weight after a week, try decreasing your calorie intake or adding more cardio to your workout. Tip: when you feel hungry, there is a chance that you are just thirsty, try drinking a glass of water.
Everytime you feel like giving up, remember why you started and that you WILL eventually reach your dream body just as long as you keep consistent with your workout/diet and stay dedicated. Good luck!
