Science, Technology and Society is a peer-reviewed journal that takes an interdisciplinary perspective, encouraging analyses whose approaches are drawn from a variety of disciplines such as history, sociology, philosophy, economics, political science and international relations, science policy involving innovation, foresight studies involving science and technology, technology management, environmental studies, energy studies and gender studies.

Technology, knowledge and science are fundamental in these days. The understanding of how social, cultural and material elements influence the production of new practices, new ways of understanding and new institutions is vital in our understanding of both past and modern society. Studying it will provide us with insights into how different processes of knowledge are initiated and progressed, and how innovative technological processes are developed, employed and increase in importance.

Also, this will give us insights from the viewpoint of both social sciences and humanities. Throughout this course we will become familiar with amendments of social and cultural analyses of modern science and technology in interaction with social, political, economical and cultural processes of change.

In this manner, we will be provided with the detailed information about the business life/industry and commerce, research and research-related work, political development, management of knowledge and innovation.

One of the best examples is the BPO company. The client outsourced their works here in the Philippines not just to save cost but to have a partnership (company to company). The client will share information with the use of computers and other tools (virtually); agents or call center agents will be trained and will render services to the client's clients. In that way, it will help our country to have a connection with the other countries, the taxes that both employees and level C's employer are paying, the skill-sets that have learned and gained by the agents, etc. just to name a few.

Other examples are Video calls, chats, emails, etc. with the use of such gadgets and any other high end technologies to send their messages both orally and in written way. In that way, it helps the society with the trends to make communications with their family, friends and loved ones.
